The worst experience ever. I rented a cargo van on line and received a confirming email for a cargo van. I get a call as I’m leaving the house to get the van and they tell me they have my box truck ready. After explaining I rented a van they told me that I hadn’t. I informed them I had an email confirmation and would be willing to wager the cost of the rental. I was hung up on. I called customer service and after an hour and a half was finally transferred to “traffic” they then located a van that would be available at 4:15 PM. I explained that I needed the van in the morning that day and the traffic person replied that they are trying to help and that they located a van that would be available at 3:30 pm. What a joke. Thant isn’t how you help a customer (now that’s former customer). I ended up finding that Avis rents cargo vans and they were great. They have a flat rate for the first 100 miles so you don’t get the nickel and dime junk from U-Hall. The Avis van was clean and new. The last rentals I had from U-Hall all had close to 200K on them and there were more ding stickers on them then undamaged areas. I will do everything I can to avoid using U-Hall in the future.

I rented a cargo van here, everything was fine, the van was great, the people behind the desk were alright. You are supposed to return the vehicle with "as much gas as when you picked it up - or you pay 30 bucks" I got in the van and saw it on the "F" line for full. I drove 40 miles, and put 20 bucks of gas in it. It wasnt full when I picked it up.Once full, it actually went past the F-line for full. I called up and the woman explained I was supposed to put "just as much gas as when I picked it up". What a load. I will not rent from uhaul again unless I feel like spending 15 bucks too much for gas.

Fast, Easy, and Honest Service. I rented a box truck for a NYC move. The night before I placed my order and the truck was waiting for me at the time promised the next day. Will definitely come back. Awesome service!
