I relocated to NJ from Long Island NY in June. I was new to the area and did not know where to begin. I wanted my hair dyed, Mani and Pedi, waxing, etc. To my surprise I was happy with the service. The new owner is Fab with a capital "F". I am very pleased with all she does. Also note I am an african american female and I was not sure if the owner could handle my type of hair. Well she "Xed" that out quickly knowing how to color, cut, blow out my hair and or wearing it wet and not making it weighed down. I have been going for now three months and I am satisfied. I recommend this Salon as again I stated its a new owner for about a year now and the prices are right on point.

I recently moved to the area and the first saloon I encountered is this. Real bad experience in all sense. 1) I was given the used dress for change. 2) the wax they were using was of ages old which not only gave me rashes but also broke hair then removing. 3) the gal who was doing work was not at all comfortable. Basically I felt like crime pointing her the areas to redo. 4) with all this, definitely not a place to pay more than the service you get. I will not recommend this place to anyone on the grounds of skill, hygiene, price and also consumer attitude.

I dont know the name of the woman, but she was so rude with my head, Is literally the worst experience I ever had in my life, I was so terrified but I dont speak very well English and I just waited until the end, after she ended I paid and left the salon feeling so bad because she was literally hitting me and being so rude with the brush, scissors and dryer, my haircut wasnt even close to what I asked for, I dont know if she was having a really bad day but it was June 2016 and I still traumatized

I have been looking for a really long time for a good salon. Last one I went to was a disaster. The owner, Shalini, listened to what I wanted and then proceeded to take her time and do the job right. Usually when I leave a salon I go home and wash my hair because of all the junk they put in it and how weird it gets styled. This is the first time I actually havent done that and I have admired it in the mirror all day! I am really happy with this place :)

I moved into the area and was looking for a good cut and a place that was convenient too. I tried a few places in Plainsboro and found Mod Salon to be the most comfortable. Very personable staff and I found very flexible. I usually go during lunch so they wash my hair before and after the cut, if I have the time. I highly suggest at least trying Mod. I think you will find as I did that Mod Salon is the best in the Plainsboro area!!!

Last week I had a hair cut done here.. It was the worst that I ever had in my life! Inspite of taking an appointment, the lady made me wait for another 30 mins and the way she has done my hair is pathetic! I dont know how they can do this to a customer after taking $30! Never go to this place!!!!!

Went in for a mani/pedi and kinda had a feeling that it wouldnt go well. The woman doing my nails didnt know what she was doing and manicure came out looking like I had never had one. Pretty much the same for my pedicure. They are really nice people but unless you like wasting money, dont go.

The best place to get highlights, color and hair cut in central New Jersey! I always come out of this place looking my best and have received tons of compliments for my highlights. They pamper me like a queen every time I visit them. I love this salon and am sure you will too!

Love this place, prompt service and Shalini is the best. She is good in everything that she does. She takes great care in all that she does, no job is too small for her. Let it be just eyebrow threading or a major highlights and colouring process, she does a great job.

I went in for a hair highlights and was not pleased with the result. It looked like bleach was splattered throughout my black hair. Not professional at all. Very disappointed with the ambiance and service and hospitality that they provide.

This is the best salon in Plainsboro!!!! I have been going there for nearly 5 years and I always came out looking my best!. The owner and staff is really caring and warm. I highly recommend this place.
