I had read past reviews and put in some thought before calling as I was a little hesitate due to the comments about the price. As I reflected back on my past experience with another plumber (several no shows initially, work uncompleted, a few more no shows and then me giving up) I decided to call Ben Franklin. They came when they said, completed the work they could, returned when the part arrived and completed it all. I did not think they were expensive but I did not price shop. My time is worth something and I did not waste one minute with no shows or lateness on Franklins part. I will be calling Benjamin Franklin for any of my plumbing problems.

Shop around. Granted its Emergency service, but even still - Buyer Beware. Expensive! Very Expensive! Seriously, 150 just for night visit. And youll have to pay that even if you refuse service. To replace a foot section of 1" pipe plus labor for 400?!? Ripoff. The guy who came was nice n all, but thats just too much money. Tried to keep it local to support businesses in area. Next time going elsewhere. Again, way too much for that little bit of service. Disappointed.

I live in a condo unit that suddenly showed water damage from an air conditioner unit in the wall. We called Benjamin Franklin and two servicemen showed up quickly. They were immaculately dressed, took the time to put foot covers on their shoes before walking in, and quickly helped diagnose our problem. I agree with a lot of the reviews; Ridiculously expensive to put in mildly. I dont mind paying for an emergency service but to come out and give a absurd quote of over $2,500 to replace a hot water heater is just highway robbery. You then have to pay the $154 service fee plus tax, $165 for nothing. No one in their right mind would pay $2,500 to replace a water heater. Buyer beware.

Dont even bother getting them to do the work, they will charge you twice as much as every other plumber. Proof is charging you seventy just to come to your house. Something that may cost a mere 350 to resolve they charge almost 1000. Shop around. You can find the same quality of work for much much less.

I just moved into a new house and the seller had not properly fixed an item on the inspection. It was probably due to the seller hiring a cheap, bad plummer. Came out the next morning and it was perfect in 20 mins. I did shop around and might have saved $30 but the service was excellent.

Marc was very pleasant and easy to work with. The first time didnt solve the leak. However, after I called, Marc came out right the next morning and fixed it. Thats great customer service. I like Benjamin Franklin. Probably the company of choice for other matters in the future.
