Hired them for a routine maintenance, disk drive clean-up service. Basically theyd copy everything off the PC, clear data of spyware etc, reformat drive, complete reload back, but into a new folder. (I believe SH calls it a System Clean Deluxe.) (Id maintained my home PCs for years, splurged on professional help.) Picked the PC up in the evening, got home late, did not plug it in or use it until the next day. *SH had loaded the wrong data* -- someone elses disk drive -- onto my PC. This took time to discover. I was confused at first, and scared; thought perhaps Id missed finding the new folder, that the problem was somehow my fault. By the time Id contacted SH and got the PC back to them (not even 24 hours) they had re-used the backup drive with my data on it, completely erasing everything! I was in shock over the loss of years of work -- not just mine, but also my spouses, and our only backups were useless because they depended on data erased from the PC in order to restore. I remain angry. Ive spent untold hours to rebuild a fraction of what was lost. Although I was in shock, I thought I was prepared to deal with management to explain just what I expected in compensation from SH. I was determined not to yell or rant but to reason. In my conversation *with the owner of SH*, I explained that I wanted to be reassured that they would take steps that this problem would never happen again, and I thought we at least deserved a new replacement PC to compensate for our losses. I was not assured that the employees responsible had committed to a new procedure to prevent mistakes like this from happening. He explained that steps got missed when business was very busy; My Conclusion: when quantity of customers rise their quality control drops. Not good. Nor did he offer anything more than a refund, maybe not even a complete one. *I never got it*. Based on these experiences, this place is not Safe and its surely not a Haven.

I bought a $1500 laptop from SH a month ago. It was malfunctioning so I took it back a week ago. After not hearing from them, I called today to see what the status was and they said they had shipped it to the manufacturer and were waiting to hear back from them. I pushed the issue a little more and then Safe Haven referred me to the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer and they informed me that Safe Haven has not even begun the return process. UPDATE: Its now been almost 3 weeks and Asus has STILL not received my computer to start working on it. I completely regret EVER walking into this shop. Do not buy from this store. They are unreliable and untrustworthy. Take your business elsewhere; I wish I had.
