A family member of mine told me about Ideal (Vinnys) so I took my 94 Vette that was having some trouble and Ideal was able to diagnose the problem, make the necessary repairs, and kept me in the loop the entire time. Car came back running great. On top of this, I even had some aftermarket parts that I had previously purchased and the staff at Ideal installed them for me. Now that may not seem like a big deal, but most garages will tell you to buzz off and make you buy parts from them. Not Ideal. They were happy to install for me and just charged labor. Great garage. 100% recommend! Oh one more thing. I just ordered tires/wheels online and had them delivered directly to their shop for installation. Got a call as soon as the wheels came in and theyre being installed tomorrow, no problems at all. Vinny, Jayson, Joe and the rest of the crew are top notch and now have a lifer customer.

I would like to thank Vinny for his shops professional and friendly service. Don did an outstanding job on my antique 1964 Corvette. He installed a new heater core, directional switch and harness, and an original speaker. Don treated my car as if it was his own. I highly recommend any type of service at Ideal. Finding a trustworthy mechanic can be a nerve-wracking experience. Bringing your car to Ideal Service Center takes all the worry out of that process. Both my wife and I have been bring our cars to their shop for 5+ years. We have always found them to be honest, efficient and reasonably-priced in providing high quality service. If you live anywhere within a reasonable radius of their shop in River Edge, you should try them.

Rip off, cant be trusted. We brought our cars here for years. The last time we did our cars check engine light came on. We were charged around $400 to replace the part. A few days later the check engine light went on again, of course something else needed to be replaced, another $400. Well 3rd check engine light and we brought it to another mechanic. The EGR valve needed to be cleaned. $30 dollars tops.

Have been going here for over 15 years for minor and major repairs. Last year had struts done and they were installed incorrectly. Today my wife went to get a quote on tires and ran into a new guy there who was both condescending and arrogant. I live in town and will be making sure EVERYONE I know hears about the bad experiences. My service will be going elsewhere.
