I would strongly caution anyone from bringing their vehicle to Willow Sunoco given my terrible recent experience. Everything was working perfectly on my late model Mercedes (with less than 70K miles) until I brought the vehicle in for a simple oil change. When I got the car back, a strange noise from the engine compartment was immediately noticeable so I told the manager that something was not right. They agreed that the sound was not there before, said that it might be the oil filter, and asked to keep the car another day to look at it further. The weekend actually went by and only after I called a few times did they finally tell me that the compressor, a/c belt, pulleys and multiple other items needed to be replaced for over $1,500. Of course, I thought this was highly suspect - the car had nothing wrong with it before but somehow 4 days in the possession of Willow Sunoco, it was rendered completely undrivable. They claimed it was normal wear and refused to do anything about it so unless I was willing to pay their fee, I would be forced to tow the vehicle to another shop to get a second opinion (which I ended up doing). The other shop (a Midas) immediately said that it looked like "outside damage" and that the compressor seemed to have been tampered with (they put that in writing). I also took pictures and sent them to a few "Ask a Mechanic" websites online which responded that they agreed with Midas assessment. I have the written opinions of several mechanics documented, EZPass statements proving the car drove well and at high speeds before the "oil change", and multiple witnesses who can testify that the car did not have any strange noises (or other problems) before taking it to Willow Sunoco. Unfortunately, Willow Sunoco is either incompetent or fraudulent - whichever the case, they certainly do not stand by their work and could be preying on unwitting Hoboken residents (who are either not mechanically inclined or just dont have the time to deal with these kinds of issues). Unfortunately for me, my only recourse appears to be small claims court at this point which is time consuming and costly if a lawyer and/or time off work is needed. I sincerely hope this review will help spare someone else the pain that I am going through - save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else!

I am a BMW snob and I have never trusted my car with any place aside from dealership. That changed a few weeks ago when a friend recommended Willows Sunoco to me. The team at Willows Sunoco did an EXCELLENT job fixing my car for a 1/3 of what I would have paid at a BMW dealership. I know because there was a list of things the dealership wanted me to do and I had the paper with the prices on it. I rejected the dealerships rip-off tactics and decided against them. Instead, I got it done here. I realize there are many of us who maybe skeptical of taking our cars to a local mechanic - I am too. But this is no ordinary shop, they are fantastic. I would DEFINITELY go back there again. Give them a try...

This place is the only car repair shop that hasnt made me feel like an idiot. The customer service is wonderful; the man behind the counter is always friendly. Most of all, I feel like I can trust them. My partner took his car there once thinking something was wrong (he thought it was making a suspicious noise) and they told him they couldnt find anything wrong with it. In my eyes, that was the perfect opportunity for them to pull a fast one on us, because we know nothing about cars. Willow Sunoco will always get a gold star in my book.

These guys are crooked. I brought my car in to fix a noise in my muffler, but it turned into a regular Rossen Reports situation. They fixed the initial muffler issue, but when I picked up the car it was suddenly making a different noise, and dragging in the front driver-side wheel-- a problem that was not there at all before I brought it in. When my wife brings it back to get them to take a look at it, they say the car needs over $3000 of additional repairs that it somehow didnt need previously. Total scam.

My go to mechanic.. My car has 250,000 miles on it and is still going. YEAH for Corollas!! Since my car is older and I still drive a lot I come here often. I feel the rates are fare and the service is great! They are always helpful, friendly and prompt. Now this could be due to my VERY frequent visits for gas, oil changes and such .. but I do like and TRUST them. And that is very important .. especially when you car is so old.

Meer is very honest, does good work, and charges a very reasonable price as compared to the alternatives around Hoboken. Lots of people go to Meer and sometimes he is willing to work emergency service in with scheduled service. I take both of my cars there and have a Jeep and an Audi A8. I was hesitant to take the Audi there because its a pretty complex car but he does as good a job as the dealership for about 1/3 the price.

Fair prices, honest assesment and fast. Already knew I needed two rear wheel bearings and front miiight he needed and had just redone the brakes. When I brought it in, pretended that I knew nothing about cars. After they looked at it, they said two rear bearings needed front was going. I asked "what about the brakes?" They said definately NOT needed. HONEST! Will be going back to them for sure.

I have been having my car repaired regularly at Willow Sunoco for quite a few years--maybe 8 or 10. I find them very fair, and prices reasonable; the work is work done well and the car is always ready when they say it will be. I often come home late, and they are super-flexible with my picking up the car--no matter how late I come, they are there since its also a gas station.

Just had a flat, and took it to these guys to fix, telling them that it probably needs a new tire. So they could have taken me for a lot of money, instead, $15 to fix the tire and all was good. I also used them a year ago for not only fixing a flat, but somewhere else had cross-thread a nut on the wheel, that and the flat were fixed for $20. Good, honest people.

The owner, Meer, is a good guy and his team does good work. The work was done EXCELLENTLY and I never felt pressured to do one thing or another. They told me what was what and I never let on that I knew about cars, but I knew a good deal before I went in and they handled it as I felt that they should. Honest dudes...

Its a great experience in my first time visit Willow Sunoco. Meer (the manager) is very polite and caring for customer. I asked for oil change, and general check and I just have to pay for oil change. Here I got great service, quote for reasonable price and met honest people. What else can we ask for?

What I like about these guys is that they will not do something that isnt necessary. Very honest in all respects. If you go in for an oil change and you dont need a new oil filter, they WILL tell you. I love that. I can just leave my car and say do whatever you have to do, and they will.
