Couple of notes if you are a visitor, the school requires that you wear their school gis so call in advance and see if you can borrow one. Lucky I was able to use my own pants because the loaner pants were huge. Also, bring an extra t-shirt or rashguard because they require you to wear something under. So a little different from the schools Ive visited but when in Rome... Good training though and good training partners. I just wish the weather was better so I could have gone more often.

This is one of the best BJJ and MMA schools in the country. The atmosphere is great for everyone, and the focus is on improving every one of the the students, including complete beginners. The head instructor, Ricardo Almeida, is Renzo Gracies 1st black belt, with titles from the most elite competitions as well as an MMA & UFC veteran. Most importantly, he is a great teacher and a genuine human being. I highly recommend this school even if you have to drive a distance to get there.

I have been training at RABJJ for the past five years. I drove past the school on a chance encounter that I am so thankful for. Since that day, Jiu Jitsu has been a constant in my life. I have progressed physically and technically on the mat and have made my life more goal oriented. Jiu Jitsu is great if you want to get in shape, but it is even better for improving you as a person. The last five years on the mats rank as high as any other moments Ive experienced.

I agree with all the comments below, BJJ is the best thing that could happen to me. I could move anywhere in the country/world right now and the only thing keeping me local is this academy where Im treated like family. The comrade one feels at this academy is second to none and I doubt youll be able to find another academy like this one.

Best place to train martial arts and fitness classes. Amazing family atmosphere, parents and kids can take class at the same time in two separate rooms, huge facility, friendly staff, knowledgeable instructors. Classes are taught by Black belts and everyone, including the members are so nice!

If youre looking for somewhere to train jiu jitsu for self-defense, or just to get into shape, Ricardo Almeida Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy is the best place around. A very friendly environment which promotes learning with positive reinforcement in a family-friendly atmosphere.

One of best academy in southern New Jersey. The owner is a former UFC fighter also a BJJ black belt. Everyone polite, friendly. Call in advance to make a appointment to find out what required. If your new to BJJ, they have many instructors there to help you.
