I wish I could write a very good review. It was based on the reviews that we decided to use Best Guy moving. To put it simply, IT WAS A DISASTER. We were moving from Morris County to Bergen County. From a house to an apartment and storage facility. We were told that it would be an easy and straight forward move. Just some of the low lights. We were told that there was no more room on the truck for all of our things. The "foreman" blamed the boss, who he claimed doesnt know what he is doing. NO worker should talk bad about his boss. I believe it was the workers fault, not the boss fault. We went through things and told them what goes to the apartment and what goes to the storage facility. OK, so they got 75% correct. We keep a Kosher house. We explained to them not to mix items from one cabinet with another. We showed them! Now we have to get almost all new pots and pans for both the Dairy and the Meat. The price kept going up, and up, and up. I was guaranteed that the move would not be more than 20% of the original estimate. Yeah! On the positive side, and there is always another side to everything. When I called Guy to tell him that there was a problem with the recliner couch he sent someone to repair it. There was no charge. When I wrote to Guy about some mix up in boxes he told me he would send 2 guys to help exchange from apartment to storage, and storage to apartment. Again, NO CHARGE. Im sorry I used Best Guy Moving Services.

Just want to say that this was a TERRIFIC experience. Guy is very personable and professional. The crew moved us out in less than 3 hrs. We had a terrible lay over closing on our new home. They had to wait 4+ hours until they would allow us in. The movers sat patiently in the driveway of our new home awaiting our OK to allow them in. Once they got in, they moved quickly and carefully. I labeled each box and they took the time to bring it to the correct room. They also moved and moved again furniture to different places in the house for us until we felt it was correct. I thought after such a long day they would be throwing the stuff in the house. They DID NO such thing. They took their time and brought box by box in. We started at 8:30 and werent in the new house till 5:15. At 7:00 a gentlemen was putting my sons crib together and I realized it was on the wrong slot. (the crib was too low) I told him not to worry but he unscrewed the whole thing and took the time to fix it. He was patient and professional. All the movers were. They were respectful and never took a break. I even bought pizza but they hardly touched it. We had 6 movers for our move. OH and nothing was broken. We moved on 12/8/14. His price was the best...and we did pay over because of time delay. Still it was a very positive experience. I was worried of all the horrific reviews and horror stories I read on line. I interviewed 5 companies. Good Luck with your move!

What makes a mover a good mover? In no particular order: 1. Accurate estimate in terms of price and time 2. Low overall price 3. No hidden charges 4. No damage 5. Pleasant experience BestGuy exceeded expectations on all 5 accounts. We will use them again. Guy provided a great low, price estimate, was upfront about 15-20% gratuity expected for good service, and provided a maximum cap (of 20% above estimate) in case we needed more time. His men delivered on time and on budget --- we did not need the 20% above estimate cap. They delivered without needing to use any of the extra cap. Guy was upfront about the gratuity. There were no surprises. The men were very pleasant and very hard working, even in our winters snowy 20 degrees. There was no damage to goods. Everything was placed where we asked them to be placed. We were exhausted after 2 days of moving our 4 BR house, but our move was fluid, inexpensive, on budget, without damage, and completed. Thanks GUY for making what could have been very stressful, in fact, relatively easy.

I was really hoping to give 5 stars but I was disappointed with the experience. I hired Best Guy to move the contents of my living room and dining room & store it for me for a couple weeks while I did the floors and painting in my house. I was thankful that Guy offered to store my stuff for free for up to a month which was appreciated. I found the company disorganized when it was time to return my stuff. I originally requested that it be returned on a Monday but Guy said he was booked so we agreed on Tues afternoon but on Mon afternoon I got a call from Ivan saying that he had been trying to reach me about the move that day which was confusing to me since I thought they were all booked for Mon but we did do it then. It was raining though & I was not happy that I had to clean my newly refinished floor after the movers initially (until they put down cardboard to walk on). Most disappointing of all was that 3 items came back broken and Guy explained that he cant do anything about it since it was packed by us and not by his company.

We just had a great moving experience with Guy and his crew. They were on time, very professional and wrapped and carried everything very carefully. I was very meticulous about my packing and labeling and the job they did lived up to my high standards. Everything was placed around our new house just where we had planned. Guy personally called me 3-4 times throughout the move to make sure everything was going well, something I really appreciated. There were 2 small issues during the day that could have turned into a large problem, and they were taken care of immediately and without much inconvenience to me. No move is ever going to go perfectly, but this was pretty close. What sold me on this company in the first place? The fact that he was willing to cap his max price and not simply charge me hourly in an open-ended fashion. That is a great, great business model in an industry where you often feel scammed. I would absolutely recommend BestGuy Moving to friends and family. Thanks again Guy!

My daughter hired Sterling Intl (K. Treschitta) to move her from NYC to Amsterdam. This company for two months sent emails confirming the ship and arrival date. Finally a Sterling employee told her Ken was gone, the company was failing and no idea where her goods were located. In stepped a hero. Guy contacted my daughter and told her the goods were stored in his warehouse, they were safe and he would do everything to help her even though Sterling never paid him. Guy went beyond the call of duty. He arranged all the shipping documents, the ship and finally the in home delivery. It went like clockwork. No damage. Guy is the best mover but better yet the most honest businessman I have met in along time. If you do not believe this review, Guy will put you in contact with me. Its the least I could do. Bob

We were very happy with our experience moving with Best Guy. Moving can be terribly stressful but with Best Guy we didnt feel that way at all. We got in touch with Guy who came and did an inspection of our apartment efficiently noting everything into his tablet. He instantly gave us a report and an estimate and explained the various options to us. When moving day arrived the guys came right on time and worked really quickly and efficiently and had our entire apartment packed up professionally in no time! At our new home they unloaded everything really nicely, checking with us where we wanted everything. They were all really polite, courteous, fast, and very professional. I highly recommend Best Guy Moving and would definitely use them again.
