I had to urgently find an moving company because the one moving company back out on me last minute due to weather condition. So, I searched online and found Sinclair Moving Co. The salesmen was very accommodating and even though I called only one day ahead they were able to schedule me in. For the move itself, IT WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. IT WAS THE WORST MOVING COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. 1. They came and said it was impossible to move all the packages and started to repeat to each other " I HAVE TO LEAVE AT 3. NO MATTER WHAT." They literally repeated this 50 times throughout the whole day. Who comes to work and just keeps repeating they dont want to work? 2. The two gentlemen that were the "managers" were on the phone for 2 hours complaining about how much equipment and packages we had. Also, they were taking photos and snap chats of each other every 10 minutes or so. 3. I received a phone call from the sales team saying that "they could not move my racks because I had to many things on the shelves" I had 2 shelves that had merchandise on it and the rest of 26 racks I had nothing on it. I sent the gentlemen a video of the cleared shelves and did not get a response or an apology. 4. Throughout the whole 8 hours, the workers that came did not work unless one of my employees were watching them. They would take 20 minute breaks and one main worker was on the phone for the whole time he was at my business. 5. I asked for some other racks to be moved inside the tracker trailer that they barely filled and was hit with a very rude "IT WILL TAKE TOO LONG, THAT AINT HAPPENING" I just dont understand why they even came to in the first place. 6. These workers are supposed to be professionals but they barely knew what they were doing. They were going so slow for every single thing and taking their time because they get paid by the hour. Once the clock struck 4 pm, I never even knew that they could move so fast. They bolted out of my business yelling "PARTY TIME LET"S HIT UP THE LIQUOR STORE". These people are the most unprofessional people that youll ever deal with. I wish I never used this company and just moved by myself. Do not give this company your business they charge a premium of 250 an hour + ($2430 for the 8 hours) and charge you for everything when they workers will come and fool around on their phones and complain about how much work they have to do. I CALLED YOU AND ARE PAYING YOU TO MOVE. STOP WASTING PEOPLES MONEY. I will post pictures later on of these guys doing nothing, taking group pictures, and taking snap chats.

On Sept 9th I received a quote from Bob Reeves of Sinclair Moving & Storage for my move. I was moving only 10 miles and he quoted me $1134 to $1296. It seemed reasonable since I had 57 pieces of furniture and 138 boxes to move. They scheduled a representative to visit me a few weeks later and wrap up the paperwork. When this odd looking man arrived at my home I immediately walked him through the house. He then sat down and calculated the weight again and to my dismay and amazement he had concluded we were moving a total of 9000+ lbs. WOW, I was shocked since my wife and I moved about 100 boxes ourselves the week before. We also moved some small pieces of furniture and what was really left was about 38 boxes and 50+ pieces of furniture. I asked that he contact Bob Reeves the manager that sent me the estimate and work this out because the bill had jumped to over $2000 and I was not going to pay such an unreasonable fee. When he reached Bob the Rep explained what had transpired. Again to my shock I heard Bob Reeves tell his Rep I was a WACKO! He did not think I could hear the conversation. How unprofessional and rude could one person or business be? Needless to say I demanded the Rep leave my home immediately. I called another mover the same day. Allied sent a wonderful man within a few hours of the Sinclair Reps departure.. He was professional well dressed and made an excellent first impression. Unlike the Sinclair Rep, this young man used a computer to calculate the move weight which was less than 6000 lbs. I was quoted $1200 and the day of the move I paid less than than that because they did it in less time. What an experience! So use Sinclair Moving and Storage at your own risk. I would do a lot of research and make sure you are not taken. I have moved all over the country so I know what to expect, buyer beware. Movers like Sinclair are out there and they prey on those that do not know, I saved myself over $1000 and a lot of headaches I am sure. This company does not come recommended at all, keep looking!

I hired Sinclair Moving and Storage (contracted by Mayflower aka Unigroup) to move my one bedroom apartment from Philadelphia to Miami. Below are the highlights of my experience thus far with my move: 1. On the day of move, I was told that nobody had informed the movers that they would need to pack my fragile items, even though I communicated that directly with the sales agent at time of proposal and contract draft. I ended up paying another almost 1000.00 to have my items packed. My move was delayed one day because of this. 2. I was given a guaranteed delivery day in Florida of 11 days after pickup, however my shipment did not arrive until TEN DAYS after the GUARANTEED date. The move coordinator informed me that my items had been sitting in the warehouse in New Jersey until the day of expected delivery in Florida because they could not find a container for my items to ship down. Unacceptable. 3. One of my large furniture pieces (my dresser) was shipped to ARIZONA instead of Florida. I have STILL NOT received it and the estimate for arrival at the warehouse in Florida is over 1 month after it was picked up in Philadelphia. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. 4. I was delivered the completely wrong mattress. Nobody knows where my mattress is and I am left with somebody elses mattress. Disgusting. 5. Significant damage to multiple pieces of furniture including end tables and cocktail tables. The claims process is a nightmare. 6. Customer service is absent at this company - I asked the moving coordinator to speak with a supervisor multiple times and my request was unanswered and avoided. Please avoid this company as I would not want anyone to go through the horrendous experience I have gone through so far.

I write this note to compliment the professional manner Sinclair Moving used to estimate the cost of our transcontinental move, and for the crew Sinclair sent to pack our home. The crew worked as a coordinated team. They were efficient, clean, careful, and steady for 6 hours. At the same time, they were friendly, accommodating, informative, and patient. The team leader Sean knew his job. Ryan the inventory guy with stickers on every box and item knew his. Fernando packed a mean dish box. And Ty and Steve were strong and consistent. Nothing got banged on dinged on the walls exiting the house. They all shared work. Were extremely pleased so far that we chose Sinclair. If the rest of our move (that includes storage at Sinclair, followed by transcontinental moving) unfolds like the packing and local warehousing, well be doing great. Ill do a followup post in a few months after the 2nd phase. Our positive experiences and good value pricing (based on a well-detailed estimate) thus far with Sinclair are the opposite of negative comments we read about other movers on comment forums.
