While the "hunks" showed up on time on the day scheduled and were very helpful in moving the items out of my grandmothers home. There follow up is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I was told they were taking our belongings to the local habitat for humanity to be donated (which is what we requested) - when I called to get my tax receipt - habitat said they had not worked with them in years. When I called College Hunks, mind you 4 weeks ago, they told me they could not help me and I needed to follow up with the local chapter in NJ that serviced Little Falls. Needless to say it has been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!!! No one is calling me back, I have left countless messages, no one knows where our stuff is, and when you call the "main" number they assure you someone will call you back. Yeah right, I have had to call every week now for 4 weeks and NO ONE has gotten back to me! They promise "oh we escalated the problem" you will hear in 3 business day - that was a week ago. I do not have time to be chasing them down. All the professionalism they showed on the front end - just went out the window. I would have been better off hiring my own group of kids to the move the stuff. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I waited to write this review to see if they redeemed myself - but I just tried to call again this morning - now week 5 and still nothing. I am done!

The entire transaction and operation was totally stress-free and extremely professional. Your staff arrived on time very identifiable and friendly each day that they worked. I know that removing nine truckloads of furniture, appliances and assorted debris was extremely difficult work in the rain and very hot conditions. Not once did I hear any of your staff complain about anything including having to deal with copious amounts of very old insulation, cat hair and dust. It is an extremely large colonial style house built in 1919 with two floors, a full basement and detached 2-car garage. One of your men, Joe, was there all four days and was certain to address all of my concerns. He made sure that I was 100% satisfied. I will recommend your services to anyone I know who needs junk removal or moving. I am very happy that I decided to choose College Hunks Hauling Junk. It started off a little rocky in that it took four phone calls to receive a quote. Apparently there were technical difficulties and it wasnt coming through email. The phone receptionists were pleasant enough and we finally worked it out. The day of the move they called when the truck was 40 minutes out. They were scheduled to arrive between 8AM and 9AM and arrived at 9:15. The movers were courteous and professional. I helped them carry things from the second floor to the first floor and they really appreciated it (this also probably saved me an hour of labor). Reasonable care was taken with items and no significant damage occurred. One thing the Hunks told me that the company did not is that they ask not to take flat screen televisions and if you need them to, you have to sign a waiver that they are not responsible for damage. They took mine and wrapped it in at least three blankets and it made the move fine. They also could not drive on the GSP, but they got to the destination in good time. The estimate was accurate and everything went smoothly.

STAY AWAY!...We have moved with College Hunks three times prior to our latest move and each move was reasonable and quite successful. This last move was a disaster. It appears that there is new management at this location and it couldnt have been a more miserable experience. It took two moves on two different days to complete the job (we were told it would take a single day), it cost 4 times more than our third move (a similar move) just 6 months ago (we were told there is a new rate structure), they didnt sufficiently secure our items on the truck and severely damaged a $3,000 armoire and destroyed a $5,000 treadmill. Then they told us the price they quoted only included basic insurance which was $0.60 per pound...so we received $400 off the bill!!! Something has changed at this company and its certainly not for the better...Find another moving company

Trials & Tribulations of moving.....Basically moving sucks!!!! The crew from College Hunks showed up on time... thats a plus....came with the right equipment for the job, another +, moved all the furniture efficiently without damage - ++, the whole crew Kevin, Malik, Tristan & brand ambassador Tina were AWESOME.... very professional & personable...we did have a problem at the gate with price...over the phone with HQ out of FLA a very low bid was given and did not reflect current market prices in NJ or anywhere for that matter....but team Capt. Kevin stepped up contacted his superior and got us an equitable deal....these guys are respectable, hardworking young gentlemen that are going places....hire them out and see for yourself!!!!

College Hunks help us move 50+ years of old furniture and junk from my fathers house. They showed up on time, were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. They have been there 4 times. Some items that were in good condition were donated. They were able to give us receipts for these items. They took old building debris and carpeting that was removed. The contents of the house including the basement and garage was completely removed. They were great!! I would definitely recommend them for junk removal and moving. Thanks College Hunks.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Literally the worst moving experience I have had in 38 years. I received one quote when I called and made a deposit, then received a callback for 3x the quote "after he spoke to the owner," then I received an emailed contract scheduled for two weeks later than discussed. Nice girl who answered the phone had no idea what crazy field guys are doing. Would not count on them to move rocks from one side of the yard to the other. Called someone else with five stars; got the job done in a day for LESS THAN 1/4 THE QUOTE.

Got a confirmation for a move time a month in advance. Three days before the move I get a call that they are overbooked and cant help me. Three days. Unbelievable. Then I get another confirmation email that they can help me. The communication between their Tampa office and local office is atrocious. Best part is getting a text the day of saying movers are on the way (they werent) and then an email asking for feedback and the recent move experience. Dont waste your time literally the worst customer service Ive ever experienced.

stress free, and the guys were nice and worked quickly. I was surprised by the price. the customer service agent told me the trucks charged by volume. I explained 1 couch, 1 love seat, 1 entertainment center, 1 coffee table, 1 book shelf and 1 tv. she said 1t would be 2-3 hundred dollars plus tax sounded great. I paid 660.19. it was well worth it, i didnt have to touch anything. I think there should have a better way on the web site to show truck size and volume regular sizes pieces so people can get some idea of cost
