Although everyone we dealt with at this company was pleasant, it turned out to be a ripoff. First of all, the estimate we were given was half of what they charged us in the end. They charge by weight, not flat rate--and they certainly take advantage of that. Dont be fooled with the line they give you that they do this to try to save you money by only charging for what you have. This is how they make their money. When the men came to pick up our things, they acted like they were just helping us out by putting a couple of mirrors in big boxes they had...until we got slammed with a $250 charge for packing and supplies. When our things finally arrive at our new house, everything seemed fine. A couple weeks later, while unpacking, we discover that several antiques had been broken during transit and also several boxes had never made it here. I contacted the company and was told that because they didnt pack the boxes and there was no physical damage to the boxes on the outside, it was not their responsibility--regardless of the hundreds of dollars we had to pay them for "insurance." As for the missing boxes, we signed the receipt so, again, theyre off the hook. They had told us we had around 150 boxes total. How we could know every single box and every item was accounted for before their men left was a ridiculous expectation. And again, the "insurance" we paid for was worthless. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you enjoy being taken advantage of. I shouldve listened to all of the negative reviews I read online before hiring them. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

I really cant say enough good things about our experience with Riley & Sons. For the first time ever, our move went completely smoothly. From the day Kevin came to give the estimate, I was impressed. He seemed really professional and knowledgeable. On moving day, they showed up right on time, with a huge crew (8 hard working guys). They were able to pack up the whole place quickly, carefully and safely. They were courteous and careful of my toddler who was all over the place. All the guys were polite and respectful, and treated our belongings with care. Initially they had estimated they would need one whole day to pack, and a second day to deliver/unpack. However, they were so efficient they were able to do the whole job in one day, which was great for us! At the other end they went out of their way to make sure everything landed exactly where I wanted it, including moving some pieces of furniture around more than once for me. They were really professional, paid close attention to how they took things apart so they could put it all back together correctly, and it went very smoothly. As an added bonus, the price ended up being $600 cheaper than the initial estimate. Dont be put off by the price. Although they were not the cheapest estimate I got, it was worth every penny! Moving is always so stressful, but this crew did everything they could to make it less so for us. I would recommend them highly.

On behalf of my family, thank you Riley Movers for your excellent work and compassion during a recent move. There were a lot of complicated logistics (including 4 different drop-off locations!) surrounding this move but Riley Movers was extremely helpful, sensitive, and caring through every step of the way. From our first phone call, Riley Movers made us feel as if there was nothing strange about our request to move items to different locations around the county. That alone helped so much. When Steve, Mike, and Bill arrived for the scheduled move, my family immediately felt that everything would go well. They could not have been more pleasant, professional, and reassuring, and they were experts at everything from the initial packing to the unloading of the truck at the last stop. They were also very gracious and accommodating of any request. We greatly appreciated their handling of this move. We already had an excellent experience with Riley Movers in the past; the circumstances of this move were difficult, and Riley Movers was exceptional across the board. You cant go wrong with Riley Movers!

Five Stars to Riley and Sons! We used R&S to move a very large custom fabricated glass table top down the East Coast to Charleston. R&S Custom grated the 250lb piece of glass, and then white gloved delivered it to our clients beach house, setting in right onto the custom made driftwood bases. From the office to, driver, to every guy ; They were/are amazing, courteous, professional, reliable, dependable, neat, on time, and reasonably priced. You’d be crazy not to give them a call. On top of all this we learned they are opening an office in Charleston, SC. They are already moving for our clients and us all the imported English antiques we sell. My family used Riley and Sons this October to move us from Phila to NJ. They showed up on schedule to pick up our items. They held them overnight and delivered them to our new home right on schedule, as promised. The movers were very conscientious and respectful. Riley and Sons was also very affordable. These guys were GREAT! Prompt, quick, courteous and fun! And so honest! The crew charged me a higher hourly rate - they misread the paperwork. The office staff noticed the the $20/hr discrepancy and returned the over charge! Ill support companies with integrity and good work ethic any day! HIGHLY recommend! Oh... and they were the most reasonable of 7 companies quoted for the job.

we moved right after a big snowstorm and they never skipped a beat! They were thoughtful, very quick and very organized. On the other end, they delivered our things in the same way. We had to put our things into their storage facility and then deliver it later - no problem! We called and arranged the delivery and there were there! I cant recommend these guys more!

I hired Riley and Sons moving company to move my furnishings. While that may not sound any different from other moves, I asked them to pick up all my purchases at a Walmart! Not only did they pick up everything at the back dock of the Walmart at Philadelphia Mills, they delivered it to my apartment with exceptional care. Great company to do business with.

I got evicted by my county and this is who they hired. Very rude. Left a lot my stuff behind broke a lot of my stuff packed stuff I didnt want packed lost my laptop. If I had a choice Id definitely go with someone else. But I was not allowed I had to have who the county chose. They were in a huge hurry even found empty alcohol bottles in one of the rooms.
