I am a bit late writing my review for Jon & Alfonso, who moved my classroom materials, books, furniture, etc. from La Jolla High School, on June 29, 2016. These gentlemen arrived at the designated time, were given just a few instructions, since they knew "exactly" what to do. The job was completed within the estimated time and stacked in my garage with no instructions, since they assessed the space and knew how to allow space for movement and accessibility. I was impressed! I immediately called Michael, who I made the arrangements with and sang his mens praises. I will be calling upon S & D, in the future, for another. move. Highly recommend! The work was well done at first look, but found out later that my bed missed a couple of screws, as a result a couple of hours later my bed frame was back in pieces. The same thing happened to the door of my wardrobe (yes, seriously...) To top it off, the leader told me openly that he expected a good tip since this was a walk up, for him and his guys (2 more) and that a good tip in his book was no less than $175-&200 per man!!!!!!! By the way, the company was informed that the move involved a walk up and as a result this was reflected in the price I paid the company for the move, which was close to $950. This was for the moving of a one bedroom from Brooklyn to West New York. I will not recommend them to anyone.

I am not a robot, or a fake reviewer. I did a ton of homework on movers for my upcoming out of state move, and ultimately chose S & D for the move based on other reviews and pricing. I spoke with at least ten companies, and had 5 do in home estimates. S & D was a pleasure to work with. Responsive, truthful, and timely. They called an hour before they arrived...showed up in the first 15 minutes of their estimated range...and got right to work. Friendly and very professional. The moved my entire 1 bedroom apartment down 5 flights of stairs in two hours. No hidden fees, no nonsense. We were very impressed and would highly recommend you consider using S & D. Id be happy to endorse or refer them to anyone in NYC.

These guys are great - Ive used them for three moves. My most recent move was a little different though, because although the move took two hours, they charged me for three. They hadnt had a three-hour minimum in the past. It cost me an additional $150 - so that wasnt great. In the past, it had been straightforward - $50 per man per hour. I still recommend them though because their crew is great and they are really easy to work with. Just be aware of minimums. Because I worked really hard to make sure everything was prepped and ready, thinking it would save me some cost, and in the end it didnt.

If you want a company that treats you and your possessions with utmost respect, hire these guys! In 2014, Kumar and Terrell were fabulous! I used these guys to move from my 6th floor walkup apartment to a second floor one a few blocks away. I am very glad to have found them! Now for 2016 move, I added the 1 bedroom box package and it had everything I needed. It was great seeing Kumar again when they were delivered three weeks before my move. The morning of, 4 man team arrived and Terrell was one of them! In 3 hours, we were done. This company ROCKS

We had a great experience with S&D Moving and Storage for a recent move from Brooklyn Heights to DUMBO. The staff was very friendly and efficient, careful with our belongings and they went above and beyond to help with the move. In the lead up to the move, they were very proactive in sending in insurance certificates to our buildings and working with our management companies to meet all of their requirements. We highly recommend S&D for your next move!

I had these guys move me from Soho to South Bronx last weekend. Down 3 flights of stairs and up 3 flights in the new place...Complete ballbuster of a move with some incredibly heavy furniture. Took them about 5 1/2 hours. Joe and his crew did a superb job while coming in at a great price. Very professional...I will use again next time I move.

Well..., moving is stressful but I am glad that I worked with them. Had fast shipping from NYC to Ohio. When compared to other companies, their quote is not so cheap but also not so expensive. But you will get your moneys worth. Everything went so smoothly, I had my things next day w/o any damage. I couldnt ask for better service.

I was the last move of the day and there was a lot of bitching and moaning and loud sighs whenever I asked them to do anything. Other than that and the fact that they ask me to review them EVERY SINGLE MONTH by emailing me, it was a decent move.
