Mike Petri and his colleagues are as good as it gets in terms of technical expertise, client service, responsiveness and professionalism. They do not come cheaply, but for major jobs it is sometimes worth paying a modest premium for peace of mind and the knowledge that the job will be done right and that service will be available 24/7. The boiler in my four story Park Slope brownstone died on a recent Sunday during a very cold spell in Brooklyn, and Mike was the only one of the three plumbers I called who answered my call and showed up that day at exactly the time he said he would. He spent a couple of hours with me diagnosing the issues, going over the options, taking measurements and providing advice on how to keep my house warm and my pipes from freezing until I could replace the boiler. He called again that night to make sure everything was OK. Mikes quote was on the high end, but still within range of the other options, and included two years of future service calls and an extended warranty that the competition did not offer. While there are other highly competent options, I felt more comfortable going with a local, family-owned business that I knew would be responsive, and so I asked Mike to do the job. Mikes team, led by the polite and professional Arsen, started promptly (during a snowstorm) and completed the work without a hitch and without a sign that they had been there, aside from the elegantly installed new Burnham boiler; their work was completed speedily and immaculately. I have never before had work done on my house unattended, but I felt comfortable enough to leave Arsen with a key to my house because I needed to leave town before he started. During my absence I received regular status calls and emails from Mike and Arsen, including before and after photographs. Mike and Arsen were prompt, helpful and utterly professional, and I have no hesitation in recommending them. They charge a full price, but they absolutely provide full value.

Early on a Sunday morning I noticed water backed up in my basement sinks and on the floor of my laundry room. I called Petri Plumbing and emailed Jeannie and Mike Petri. Within minutes I had a response.....Mike Petri correctly diagnosed a main water blockage, carefully explained the cost of a Sunday visit and asked what I wanted to do. I agreed to the cost and within an hour Strato Stamenos was at my door. Strato is exactly the man you want in an emergency. He is smart, charming and professional and immediately calmed me down. He spent an hour on a hot Sunday morning snaking out the main and not only solved the problem, meticulously cleaned up after himself. Ive used Petri Plumbing in the past and yes, they are very expensive. But....they stand behind their work and truly care about their customers. Strato really was amazing and Mike and Jeannie are always compassionate and helpful. What more could anyone ask for?

Mike Petri and his team are the guys to call if you need heating help. We have had several small jobs done by other plumbers that were a poor temporary fix to a major problem with zoning and maintaining heat in our home. Mike and Arsen came to do a thorough inspection and review of what the problems were and gave us options on how to make it work. They worked with us on budget and were honest throughout, never making us feel like we were being taken for a ride as we have felt in the past. Our project was very involved and a big job for them. I am so happy to say that it was a complete success and for the first Winter in 4 years, we are comfortable and warm in our house. We are great full to all the crew for a speedy, and very professional and courteous job. From start to finish we were informed of what work was being performed and the timeline. Petri Plumbing cleaned our furnace and replaced our hot water heater when we first moved into our 100-year-old house and theyve taken care of all of our routine plumbing jobs since. They just finished gut renovating our two bathrooms. They arent cheap, but they deliver exactly what they promise and more. They listened to us patiently and made excellent suggestions, they fixed some serious problems that were hiding in the walls, and the quality of the tiling, carpentry, and plumbing was everything we could have asked for and more. When we were down to one toilet and it stopped working the night before Thanksgiving, Mike Petri himself showed up to fix it. I cant recommend these people enough.

The peace of mind of having an excellent company taking care of our building is priceless especially when we are out of town in another country. We really appreciate what you have done for us last month when our boiler went down in the middle of the deep freeze while we were away. Initial contact with Petri for kitchen sink pipe output flooding into basement on a Saturday. Once problem was corrected we needed to replace H2O tank and check for any blockage of drains to street as there is a tree in front of the house. Strato came and assessed the problem and scheduled to come back during the week to do the work. He ended up rerouting the pipe through the floor to basement and also did the work related to the installation of the H2O tank and checking pipes. He is extremely knowledgeable and explained all the steps needed. Both Strato and his assistant were very professional and courteous. I would recommend them highly

As a new home owner I have met many plumbers over the past 6 months for many different issues ranging from simple to disastrous. When our brand new boiler started acting up right when we hit cold weather I decided to call Petri. They sent Strato over that same day, he was extremely helpful and explained everything very clearly. Over the next few weeks we had to do a few boiler treatments and every person they sent was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They are honest and upfront about options and cost. They are not the least expensive but Its worth paying a bit more for fast reliable help when you need it most.

We first used Petri for a big job, replacing the kitchen plumbing system - they were a bit pricey but worth every penny. I commend them for the workmanship, the professionalism, the courtesy and the technicians patience with my elderly parents who really appreciated the technician and I was grateful that I could count on Petri. We have used them subsequently for a smaller job and were equally satisfied. Bottom line is that I live in another state and it is reassuring to know that I can call Petri, make arrangements for my elderly parents and trust that Petris technician will do a good job and handle them with care.

I asked for a quote to install a new gas line at my home. And here are the things that I did not like: 1. Guy showed up almost 3 hours later than agreed time (of cause he had an excuse dont they always have one) 2. I was charged their standard 80+ fee for a visit that was supposed to result in the quote for the project and wouldve been waived should I choose to proceed with Petri Plumbing (which I didnt mind at all) the problem is that a whole month had passed and I still didnt receive a quote. I called couple of times but to no avail. Resolution: I dont recommend entering any business with this company.
