I called several plumbers around Times Square to fix a blocked toilet. I will give credit to Roto-Rooter as they were the only ones that called back to advise they are able to send a plumber to the unit I was staying in. I contacted Roto at 12:30pm and was told they could send a plumber out by 2:30pm which suited me perfectly. However, I was contacted again just after 2 advising there was a delay and the plumber would be there by 4:30pm. At 4:50pm the plumber hadnt arrived so I called their office again, they advised the plumber is on there way and will be there shortly. Over an hour had passed and the plumber hadnt arrived so I called their office again to get an update as to the where abouts of the plumber. They advised the plumber was still a while away and couldnt confirm exactly what time he could get there. At this stage I had plans in the evening and couldnt wait any longer so I asked if we could reschedule for tomorrow morning - which they said was fine and booked it for 9am. Tomorrow morning arrived and by 10:30am no plumber had arrived so I called their office again and was advised the plumber will be there within the hour. Shortly after 12pm no plumber had arrived so I called their office and asked for an update, they advised the plumber was outside. I went outside to meet the plumber but no one was there. I called their office again to confirm the plumber had the right address, they advised the plumber was 5 minutes away. The plumber then arrived, advised the charge for fixing the blocked toilet was $350USD. I couldnt believe my ears when he quoted this price. I didnt have time to argue as I needed the toilet fixed and couldnt wait for another plumber to come out to fix it so I agreed to go ahead with it. The plumber fixed the problem within 5mins which Im quite thankful for, however, the tax invoice states $267 for labour. Seriously, how can 5mins of work cost so much? There was no offer of discount due to their continued delays for whatever reason. My friend blocked a toilet when we were visiting LA and it cost $180USD and it was 11:30pm on a Friday night. Overall, I will say their staff at their contact centre are very friendly and professional. However, their punctuality is very poor given the amount of times they advised the plumber would be at the property by a certain time. Lastly, the cost of their service is extremely high. I understand this is New York but $350 for a blocked toilet is ridiculous. I would think twice before referring a friend to Roto-Rooter due to my experience with them.

I was so impressed from the time I called Roto-Rooter-- the operator was so Professional and reassuring, stating that a technician would come to our home in a short time. Cory, technician, called first and came within the hour. He was skilled, calm and confident and quickly diagnosed our blockage to our basement sewer lines which caused basement to totally flood to my grave dismay. He worked quickly and efficiently, as his diagnosis was 100% correct. He did not have ample lighting, and basement was dark, damp, cluttered and wet, but he just kept reassuring me that he was perfectly fine and that all would be resolved shortly. He was so kind and respectful toward me and helped me to calm down. Resolution of the clod was swift as he said but we have a lot of damage from water and some sewerage, and again he called a company Restoration specialist who again he arrived at our door with in the 1/2 hour and he assured me that his department could helped us to clean up and restore. We Emailed our home owners insurance information today and since we are willing to pay our deductible, Roto-Rooter will complete restoration and repairs following contact with our homeowners insurance which he agreed to do for us. I just cannot say enough about how much I appreciate this amazing company, most especially Cory, the plumbing technician who unclogged us in the hardest circumstance, and to Richard Alexander for his connection to Restoration. I am recovering from spinal issues and I recently retired from an RN management position, so I very much appreciate excellence in performance and services that this company has rendered to us! My necklace broke this morning and fell in the toilet, but since I had just woken up I didnt realize what the clink sound was and flushed the toilet. About 10 minutes later the chain fell out and hit my foot and I realized what had happened. I went online looking for how to diy get something back from the toilet and then after I realized I couldnt diy I googled for who could get it for me. I found Roto Rooter and a video of them saving an engagement ring from 1989. Since theyve been saving jewelry for over 25 years I figured they knew what they were doing and I called them up and they told me not to use any water, and that they were calling dispatch and putting an emergency note on my call. About an hour and a half later the very friendly technician- Junior (tech# 5455) -rang my doorbell and told me that while he could open up the sewer trap and look around for it, that there were no guarantees that he would be able to find it. So I said please look and see, I need to take the chance. He went into my basement, opened up the trap and stuck his arm into a pipe where most people wouldnt dare, and within 2 minutes he pulled out the charm. This thing is about the size of a nickel and HE SAVED IT FOR ME!!! I am so grateful to Junior for finding it and thankful to Roto Rooter for sending me the right man for the job. Great, kind, knowledgeable, and quick phone customer service by Talia this morning as well. Thank you for the wonderful Roto Rooter customer experience, 10/10 will call again.

This is the second time I used the services of RR and had a fantastic experience. Leon and his remediation team came to the rescue for me at 2 different properties on 2 different disasters this year. I had two unlucky major accidents this year, both of which would have been far worse had I not found such competent professionals to come to the rescue! Most recently my boiler flooded out and flooded through the radiators 4 strait floors, taking down several ceilings with it along the way. Leon and his team headed up by Dexter were just fantastic. They knew exactly how to work with my insurance company. They showed up right away. They brought a large enthusiastic team and they worked really really hard. I mean.. really really hard! From a sopping wet disaster, today we have no moisture readings at all! Dexter was such a pleasure to work with. He was knowledgeable and careful with my old moldings and plaster details throughout the process. He was wonderful with my tenants who also thanked me for sending him. Stacey from the plumbing department was also wonderful to work with fixing my sewer line earlier this year on my previous disaster. I highly recommend this whole team. They are true professionals. And I have to give a special thanks to Leon and Dexter who have gone above and beyond by any standard. Thank you!!
