They are actually the WORST post office I have every had to deal with. This review is long overdue because I have never had a positive experience with them. First off, I work from home, so I am basically home 24/7. Yet every single time I have a package that needs to be delivered by USPS, they always leave a notice because "I wasnt home". Let me also note the fact that when someone buzzes downstairs, it rings directly to my cellphone so I have my phone as proof that they have never buzzed me for a package. I understand not wanting to come up the elevator (no I dont understand that actually. Your job is to deliver and you dont want to come up the elevator?) but at least Buzz me to come downstairs! On top of that, even if my package says "Leave if no answer" they will not leave the package. CAN YOU NOT READ THE INSTRUCTIONS? This happens every single time! Any time I have scheduled for a redelivery, they dont even attempt to redeliver. Instead they just wait until the date to send it back to the shipper. Anyway this review is finally coming because today I caught our mail person in the act. She entered the building without a package and simply just left the "sorry we missed you, please pick up your package" notice in the persons mailbox. Which would explain why they never leave my package. She never picks it up. Just write the notice and calls it a day. Its frustrating because I just moved to this neighborhood and I love it, aside for the fact that I now have to be prepared to pick up every package from the post office because they will never deliver it. For a couple of items I just had it redelivered via Fed Ex or UPS (who coincidentally never have an issue leaving the package, or getting into the building and always find me home, even on the same day & hour USPS said I wasnt home) but unfortunately this option isnt available for all of my shipments.

This office is terrible and the mail delivery service to my home is also terrible. They very often dont delivery packages or leave notices without a tracking number. I leave instructions to deliver packages to my neighbors that are home all day if theres no answer at my place, but they never follow this. Of 6 packages I have had to schedule redelivery for this year, only one was actually redelivered as scheduled. I had to call the post office about the others multiple times, eventually getting the packages 1 to 2 weeks later. I had another package they left a slip for, but then after scheduling redelivery and calling them, they said that they actually delivered it to somebody in my building on the original date. The problem is that the whole family (including the neighbors) was out to dinner that night, so we know nobody accepted the package. Nothing was signed for, and the post office told me I had to just report the package stolen to the shipper (thankfully Amazon was helpful and sent a replacement shipment free of charge). Most of the times I call the phone is off the hook as well, and I have to call several times a day before I can contact anybody. This post office and the people working there are what give the USPS a bad name.

for 6 years Ive been trying to get the mail carriers to put our buildings mail in the correct boxes. (it is totally up to the individual to decide to do a good job or be lazy, the boxes are clearly marked.) Last week our current carrier was on his route with the stations supervisor who was inspecting his work for some reason.. I just happened to be there when they came up so I asked him to please do a better job. He said, "talk to her" and continued to ignore me in a rude fashion while stuffing all the mail into one box right in front of me. When I told her that the carriers never use the last names and put all the mail in one box and she said, "your mailbox is dangerous and we wont deliver your mail anymore" That was that, we havent received mail since that day. I made a justifiable complaint to the supervisor and her response was, "you dont like it? NO MAIL FOR YOU!" There are other post offices in this city where the employees are respectful and the service is good. I think if they revitalized Brevoort station by remodeling it to be a more inviting place the mood of the workers would change. Take down the bullet proof glass! the neighborhood is different now!

Unfortunately this post office made me lose some faith in the United State Postal Service. I recently move to the area and had a package delivered that required my signature on receipt. What should have taken a week to be delivered ended up taking almost a month! Since I work 9-5 m-f I couldnt be in my apartment during the work week to receive and sign for the package. So I tried having it re-delivered 4 TIMES!! I even spoke to the supervisor on 2 occasions where he said my package would be returned on Saturday. 3 Saturdays went by without my package being delivered. Thats 3 Saturdays wasted waiting in my home for a delivery that would never come. And when you inquire on what the problem is, no one knows why my package was never send out. I ended up having to pick it up myself, which honestly I could have done 2 weeks earlier, but they convinced me I would get it delivered. Not sure whats going on at this office, but it doesnt even seem like USPS headquarters really cares either way. I heard this is one of the worst offices in the country. Please ship your packages elsewhere Crown Heights!

There was a guy in here shouting disgusting racial slurs, talking loudly (on the phone) about obscene topics, and he asked a woman behind me if she was selling her body (he used rather crude language though), after she told him to get off the phone. While this guy isnt the fault of USPS, the USPS workers did NOTHING to kick this guy out. Everyone felt uncomfortable and unsafe with him there. When it was time for me to pick up my package, they told me it wouldnt be ready until 1pm, even though my slip says any time between 9am-5pm. I told the guy I work during the rest of the week and would be unable to pick it up. There was nothing he could do? Really? Before I left I told a supervisor that someone should have seriously kicked that disgusting guy out of the store, and that it was unacceptable that he was helped (even while he was being helped, he was STILL calling people in there racial slurs and saying gross things) I never want to come back here. I feel disgusting after witnessing this and expected better from USPS.

Hands down literally the worst USPS Ive had, delivery and office people. If your mail needs a signature and they leave you a pink slip, just forget about ever getting it. They open until 1PM on Saturdays, not 3PM like their pink slip says, and the phone is 100% busy anyway. I tried two redeliveries, they ignored my request to leave it in the mailbox. I got two pink slips, and they left the one I signed hanging on the mailbox for a full week until they finally took it back. Waited another 4 days until now they said they returned to sender. Absurdly lazy and unreachable. Just forget about getting your mail. Forget about getting anything other than junk adverts and random mail for people who dont even live at your address. Just drink your goddamn coffee and hate everything and anything USPS until these lazy people die off and maybe you can actually get your mail in your next life.
