My brand new AT&T cell phone charger got stolen. The “Interior Detail” service for my Toyota Corolla cost me $140 instead of $89.95 plus $30 for my stolen brand new AT&T cell phone charger. On July 25, 20011 around 10:00 AM, I took my car to get interior steam cleaning to this car wash. I picked up my car around 1:30 PM. I found that my cell phone charger was missing at 6:00PM that day. I used that charger that morning until 8:30 AM. I hate to accuse someone for stealing. In this case, the evidence and incriminating statement from the car wash manager, Matt, left no room for doubt. They went through my glove compartment and knew exactly what were in there deep inside. If this happened to me, I am sure it happened to many other customers. Maybe other customers may not have noticed items missing timely enough to make their claim. No one have exact inventories of what we have in our glove compartment. But, for this case, I have no doubt that my cell phone charger got stolen at this car wash. ****Details about $30 AT&T Cell Phone Charger:**** July 25 morning, when I was driving to work I charged my cell phone with my cell phone charger in my car. As soon as I get to work, I put my cell phone charger in my glove compartment at 8:30 AM. I do this EVERY morning. I took my car to this car wash around 10AM for the service. After I picked up my car at 1:30 PM, I parked my car at my work all locked up with windows closed since it started raining. When I try to go home that evening at 6:00PM, I looked for my cell phone charger in my glove compartment. It was gone. I checked the back of my glove compartment to see if it fell in the back. It was not there. I searched entire car and could not find it. I called next morning, July 26, and spoke to the manager, Matt. I explained what happened and asked him to make some inquiries. He never returned his call. I called again on July 27 to ask what he found out. Matt told me that the attendant who worked on my car said that he found 2 cell phone chargers in my grave compartment. I asked why he had to go through my stuff in my glove compartment. He said it was necessary for cleaning. But, why??? He did not clean inside the glove compartment. I had an old cell phone charger which I did not use for a while at the bottom of my clutter in the glove compartment. A brand new cell phone charger was on top of the clutter. This really double assured me that someone took my cell phone charger at the car wash. He confirmed me that 2 chargers were in the glove compartment at the car wash. After the car wash, no one came inside my car until I found that the charger was missing around 6:00 PM. And this person really had to dig deep in my glove compartment to find another charger. Why did he have to go so deep to go through my stuff? When I asked these questions, Matt just hung up the phone. ****Details about $140 Instead of $89.95 for Interior Detail Service:**** This car wash’s internet add says, “Interior Detail $89.95” with disclaimer saying “Price may vary due to size and condition of vehicle.”. When I get there, the manager, Matt, looked at my car and told me it would cost me $129. He said “$89.95 was a price for 2-door 2-seat cars”. I have Toyota Corolla with no stain. I had just thrown away 4 rugs so the carpet was pretty clean and no rugs to clean. I really thought my car was one of the easiest to clean so I was really surprised when he told me $129. I ended up paying $140 including tax. 99% of cars in the US are not 2-door 2-seat. So $89.95 will not apply to 99% of the cars. So much for “Price may vary due to size and condition of vehicle.”

I got the interior detail because someone threw up in my car and I needed to get the smell out. First, the price on the website isnt real. We called to ask how long it would take and was quoted 3 hours and to bring it in whenever. We called again shortly after to ask if its really $70 as per the website and this time she said it would be $129 and it would take half a day and we needed to make an appointment 2-3 days ahead. Then I called back shortly after to explain I only need part of the car cleaned and she said to bring it in to have them access it. The guy looks over my car and says to clean half of it would take 3 hours but cost $100 while cleaning the full car would take 3 hours and $149. He suggested I clean the whole car because the smell is probably everywhere so I agreed (my own fault at this point and also for not inquiring why it takes the same amount of time to clean half vs. full car). He said there would not be any vomit smell afterwards. I pick up the car and I smell the door and it smelled like vomit. I mentioned it to the guy and he said let the car air out and dry completely for 1-2 days and the smell will be gone. I paid $160 (incl. tax) and tipped the employee so total was $185 in the end. Its been 2 days and the car smells like vomit! Its not as bad as before I got it cleaned but he told me there wouldnt be any smell. I didnt like the 3 different price quotes and 2 different time quotes I received. I also didnt like that he told me the smell would be gone and it wasnt. I had asked if hed cleaned vomit smell out before and he said something about being around for 20 years that hes seen it all (never actually answering the question). Id rather have them tell me the truth than lie to me. Because now I will tell everyone that this place is not trustworthy. The detailing was fine if I didnt have this one awful smell but I wouldnt go back there even for a regular car wash because I dont trust them and the prices are steep (its in great neck so what else do you expect?).

Titled: Not only did they do a poor job, the owner was rude and tried making me feel I was wrong for expecting my car to be cleaned. The wash was very busy and I noticed they took 30 seconds to vacuum my car. I waited to see how it came out for the guys to finish wiping it down. Right before my car was ready, a woman next to me was complaining to the guy who seemed to be the "manager" about the same thing I was concerned about and there was crumbs left on the floor and she wasnt happy. Sure enough, I got to my car and it was filthy with crumbs/sand/dirt not vacuumed up. Again, the wash was very busy and I understand how things work but I complained and asked for them to vacuum it better. The "manager" looking guy came to my car and instead of apologizing quested me on why I would thing the gum rapper they missed on the floor mat was an issue. I told him I just spent $40 plus on a car wash since I paid for the highest level of wash and gum wrappers shouldnt be missed let alone all the sand and dirt. His next response was, you paid how much for your car wash??? I thought he was going to give me some money back but he continued to just give me a poor attitude about how I shouldnt expect all the wrappers, crumbs ,and hair that is on your floor mats to be spotless. I didnt want to deal with this man anymore since he not only wasnt helpful but RUDE, so went inside and asked the cashier who the owner was. She explained to me that I was just talking to him. The "manager" was actually the owner! VERY DISAPPOINTED. Not only did they do a poor job, the owner was rude and tried making me feel I was wrong for expecting my car to be cleaned. Especially for a car was in Great Neck, NY, I would expect a better level of service and treated better as a paying customers who can get a cash wash somewhere else for a better job at $20.00 and the owner appreciates your business.
