Inconsistent pricing and poor service Several months ago I made an appointment with a hair stylist who was supposed to be "amazing" per receptionist. I went in needing new highlights and a few reversed highlights and a cut/sytle. At the end of the appointment I did not like my hair cut since it was lacking shape and any sort of style. When I mentioned this to stylist she said that it looked good and she would just leave it as is. The highlights looked ok but I could not see very well in the lighting in the salon. I was charged $120 and left a $24 tip. When I got home I noticed there were not many highlights but I disregarded it thinking that in 2 weeks time usually all highlights appear; however, in 2 weeks they did not and I called salon to tell them I wasnt sure what happened. They asked me to come in and I did and the stylist looked at my hair and said there was nothing wrong and she wouldnt fix it. I said that there arent any highlights and I paid for highlights. I left upset and then called back and spoke to owner, who was equally horrible. She didnt even look at my hair and over the phone said that I had to pay to have highlights done again. We disagreed. I went in to have owner redo my hair, and she did and did a good job cutting and with highlights....but this is what should have been done from the beginning. As if it wasnt bad enough that I was treated rudely, had to go back a second time and the owner saw that there werent any highlights (original stylist lied and is incompetent), the owner made me pay more money to fix it. Interestingly, as I sat with owner redoing my hair, I watched original stylist do the same thing to another customer. Horrible color and cut..incompetent and management does nothing about it..I watched the customer complain about her cut and she was given the same answer, "I would leave it"....I guess as long as management is making money they dont care how they treat the customers. On another occasion I went back to have a highlight done by new owner. I spent 3 HOURS there while she took another customer in between my cut/highlight. She then charged me $160 when I have never paid more than $120!! I paid but will never go back there as owners and stylist are lacking in integrity and quality....thieves.

I am from the Boston, Ma area and had my wedding in Stone Ridge, NY. I found Studio One online in a google search and decided to book them based in reviews online. I had no idea of vendors since I was from out of state and had no friends or family to help me out based on experience. I was unable to get a hair trial because it was too hard for me to drive the 4 hours just to get my hair done on a day off. The stylists came to my venue, were on time, professional, flexible, and so easy to work with. I had 3 stylists for a total of 8 girls and there was plenty of time left over. I showed my stylist a few pictures online of what I was looking for and we were ready to go. My hair was beautiful! It came out exactly as I wanted it, and it stayed in all night long! My girls in my bridal party were also very happy with the results. I would highly recommend Studio One Hair Design for your wedding day!

My bridal party got our hair and makeup done at Studio One Hair Salon. The staff was amazing and the skill displayed was unbelievable! All the girls were so happy with how their make-up and hair looked! I forgot my hairclip in my hotel room which could have been very stressful, but Amanda simply did my hair perfectly without it and then just put it in when the clip was delivered! Thanks Studio One Hair Design for making me and my bridesmaid feel beautiful!!!
