Nick got me in before my vacation! - My family and I rely on Arlington Auto exclusively. They are the silver lining to an industry riddled with charlatans and pushy money focused business people constantly trying to "up" the bill. Today highlights how amazing they are. Its July 3rd, 6pm Im about to leave on a 5 hour drive to my July 4th vacation spot and my Check Engine light comes on. (sigh) Ive been working so much I didnt realize my Oil light and transmission were in need of attention. I called nick and told him; as always he adjusts his schedule to help me out. Within 30 min I drive across town and my car is whisked into the shop. Nick has always been very easy going and personable whether leaving me to my thoughts or engaging in friendly conversation. We chatted a few min and then I sat in one of the leather chairs and soaked up the idea of sitting after my work day. Within no time at all, the car is ready, filters changed, fluids topped off and ready for driving. He lets me know that he used their latest promotion to discount my service and added a coupon. Neither of which I knew existed and thus the bill was half what I estimated it would be! I asked him if there was anything we could do to thank them for their service and hospitality and they said we could write a review here if we liked but that serving was reward enough. Arlington Auto is 5 Star service with a friendly "love your neighbor as yourself" service shop. They are more informed, and have better quality than even my dealership. As long as we live in New York they will be the only Auto shop we use. I recommend them to you highly! #128339

I got a coupon in the mail for $18 tire balancing. Brought my car there and after waiting 1 hour they said the passenger front tie rod end needs to be replaced. Gave me a quote for $270 parts and labor plus alignment. I turned the offer down(the replacing is a easy 10 min DIY job, and the part only cost $14 at adanceautoparts.). So they just did the tire balancing. Now that experience is OK. The reason I give a poor rating is: after I drove a few days theres loud clunking sound from under the car. First I thought, well, the tie rod end must have failed. But the car turns just fine. It is when I drove straight when the clunking occurs. I was about to take the car to another shop to check it out, when I found this morning that the lug nuts on the front passenger side were very loose. Its not just one nut loose. all nuts are loose. They are so loose that I can turn the nuts with MY BARE HAND if I try really hard. Thats how loose they are!!!! The tire must be wandering around when I was driving and caused the loud clunking, which wasnt there before I do the tire balancing. This shop is so irresponsible! I could have died if I drive this car on the highway(luckily, i normally just drive local route 9). I would like to warning you about this shop. They expect a work to be done on a certain wheel and if the customer refuse their bloated quote they will just put the wheel on and do not tighten the nuts. Do not take your car to this shop.

This shop has gone down hill big time. I had been using this shop for over 6 years. Came time for new tires on my FLEX so they had replaced them last time no problems. This time I order the tires had an appointment and showed up to find out the order didnt go thru after almost 45 minutes of them trying to find the tires. Next day I go back again with an appointment and it took over 3 hrs to put 4 tires and an alingment. So I figure I would give them one more shot and had the oil changed and tires rotated, big mistake the front end shock like mad after they rotated the tires. I called up to have this issue addressed and was told it need a wheel balance. Came in on Saturday to be told you were very busy, I said ok will be back Sunday morning and said that I be in at 9,I got to the shop at 9:05 to hear the service writer tell a customer that wanted and oil change that the tech was not ready and only had one tech. He further told him to leave the car and he could have it done by the afternoon for an oil change !!! So then he gets to me and tells me it gone be 1.5 or longer before they can even get to my car. In 5 minutes they had all this work a head of me !! Please two people were in the front, you sell products and fail to stand behind them when you need service !! You have lost a costumer do to your lies. All I can tell people is stay away !!

This place looks good from the outside but beware!! I would only take my car to Arlington Auto & Tire Center for oil changes and that was enough to learn that the managers are incompetent and the organization is crooked. The last experience I had at this place was an oil/filter change and when the car was returned to me they explained my hood would no longer open and that it would cost approximately $800 to fix because they needed to replace the cable. After I rejected their offer to fix it along with a number of useless things they wanted to do to my car I took it to my normal mechanic in Orange County and he simply spent 5 minutes on it by tightening the hood latch cable and magically it worked! Unfortunately this type of story is common at this place as my brother wanted to just get a patch on a leaking tire and they claimed he needed 4 new tires. Not true at all as they had plenty of tread on them plus when they patched it he needed to take it to another tire place to fix their patch!!!. They claim work will get done that same day and when they get backed up(all the time) they will keep your car there without getting back to you in order to tell you they need more time. Don’t go here unless your car breaks down right next to the place and if it was me Id push it down the road to Valvoline.

I had taken my wifes Subaru Outback here for routine oil changes. I like to do my own basic maintenance, but the lack of a place to work makes it too much hassle. I had never had a single issue bringing the buru here. They always managed to fit us in and get the work done quick and correctly, as it should be. I recently took my 08 VW GTI to the dealership (its still in warranty, and I dont want any "but if ~WE~ had maintained it" monkey business). They pointed out that my tires and brakes were worn to the point of replacement. I didnt have 2 grand to throw on the fire. I looked online for a suitable replacement tire, and called up Arlington Tire&Auto for an installation quote. Not only did James recommend a better rated tire, but he saved me $100 over what I wouldve bought, and $400 over what the dealership wanted. While the crew was installing my new rubber, they showed me the brake pads which were nowhere near ready to be replaced. They even showed me what to look for the next time I have my wheel off. In summary, James saved me 1400 bucks over what Id have shelled out to the dealership. He did it the same day I called, and I got prompt service with a smile. CODE 0032834
