If you live in Red Hook or the surrounding area, you should definitely take your car here!!! Everyone, including Sam (the sweet lady in the office), is honest and genuinely cares about you and your vehicle. I took my car to the shop about a week ago and Steve (owner) looked at my car right away, was very knowledgable about the issues with it and explained each problem clearly to me. Its a nice feeling to know that there is a local auto shop that will not suggest unnecessary repairs because they know what theyre doing. Upon leaving after my first visit at WSA I was determined to spread the good word on every social media site that I could. West Side Auto cares about your safety and your satisfaction, not about fattening their wallets. Very cool!

I found the employees to be very kind and professional. The mechanic who worked on my car kept me informed of his progress. When the work proved to take a bit longer than anticipated (one of their mechanics was out), they offered to drive me to the gym and back. The young lady at the desk was kind and helpful and not buried in her cell phone. How refreshing. I will definitely use them in the future, and will refer my sons to them as well. It is worth mentioning that on my way to West Side Auto, I drove past 6 different repair shops that were much closer to my home, but the reviews were much less favorable. It was definitely worth going that extra few miles. Very, very pleased.

I was referred to West Side by a second party. Have had the car back for a week now. I wanted to give the car a good work out before commenting. I have a 90 mile drive round trip to work and the car feels and drives better than it did when I originally drove it out of the dealership 6 years ago. The work done was top notch, the price was practically dead on the estimate and Steve and his crew were more than courteous. I was given a detailed explanation of the issues with my car and at works completion was shown the parts that were damaged and what was wrong with them. Id recommend them anytime to anyone.

My daughter recently graduated Bard College. Meanwhile mom and dad live in Nashville, TN. So when car trouble started for my daughter, I was very concerned about the level of service I was going to get being 900 miles away. Much to my relief, time and time again, the folks at West Side took the time to do an excellent job with thoroughly reasonable rates and a high level of honesty. Highly recommended - We will miss them. I just may retire to Red Hook just to have such a good mechanic~!

Wow! What an amazing place. Fast, efficient, inexpensive service. We called at 4:20 p.m. on July 3, a holiday for most businesses. A lovely woman answered, showed up at our house with a tank of air to pump up our tire, then replaced our flat. The charge for all this: $16. Plus, they were nice. Plus, their shop was fun and had dog treats. Fantastic place. Bar none.

Not much can be scarier than when your daughters beater has problems and she is away from your trusted mechanic at home. These guys were superb.They did an excellent repair, and were completely honest. Bard parents: if you need a great repair shop, this is the place. They even offered to drop her off back at school while they worked on her car.

I had a belt loose which made this awful squealing sound and I was worried the repair would be really extensive and expensive. West Side Auto took care of it right away and I was back on the road in less than thirty minutes. It was kind of amazing! Really really great people! I honestly could not say enough nice things.
