My husband and I recently moved to the Hudson Valley and needed to find a rental. Not knowing anyone in the area, or where to start, we literally walked into the office of Mondello Upstate Properties. From the moment we walked into the office, the Mondello agents were incredibly kind, flexible, and accommodating. They had a nice selection of properties and were eager to help us in any way possible. One thing that makes this group stand out from others in the area, is that they truly have your best interest in mind. They are concerned with providing quality properties and quality service to their customers. We worked with Margaret, and she took the time to find a rental that was a good fit for us, rather than pressuring us into a rental that may not have be a good fit in the long run. She was very easy to communicate with and always responded promptly and honestly to any questions we had regarding a property. She found us a rental that we absolutely love (with in a few days, no less), and we couldnt have done it with out her help. We started working with Margaret about two years ago, when we were looking to rent a place in Red Hook. Having seen the sign for the Mondello Upstate Properties, we decided to stop by their office. We asked Margaret to keep us in mind if something came up, not expecting to hear from her right away. Well, the very next evening she emailed us with the property listing that ended up being the right fit for us. A year later, we started looking to buy a house. Unlike our rental experience, finding the right house to buy took more than a year. Throughout this time, Margaret was professional, knowledgeable, responsive and (importantly!) patient with us. She expertly guided us through the whole process. But what made our experience with Margaret particularly special was the care she took to get to know us as a family and to understand what we were looking for. Margaret was an amazing help to us every step of the way. She was very easy to work with and always prompt to reply to texts and emails with any questions we had. As first time home buyers we really relied on her to guide us through the process and we felt so lucky to have her on our side. She is extremely knowledgeable and was able to recommend inspectors etc. Because we live in the city and the home we were purchasing was in Columbia County, Margaret made multiple trips to the property to meet inspectors on our behalf. WOW!!! It can be very stressful buying a home, and even more so when you are planning a long-distance move. So many details including home inspections, surveys, communication with the sellers--the list goes on! We contacted Margaret Mondello by chance--a Google search of realtors --and it was our very lucky day. I cannot say enough about the incredible service--she was present for multiple visits to the home when we could not be there (inspections, etc.) and really paid attention to the finest of details. Our closing went smoothly--mostly due to her diligence.There was never a time when Margaret did not return our call, text or e-mail within a very short period of time--even when some things could have waited a bit.
