This was by far a 10 star experience--but 5 stars will have to do. We are ALWAYS in a state of euphoria when we eat at this restaurant. Tony is always so kind a generous, and shares a sweet surprise --like the duck egg roll with a soy reduction sauce....I dont even consider myself a "duck " person, but it was amazing!!! The service was impeccable and the salads, entrees, (veal and lamb) were to die for. Prepared to perfection! This is seriously by far, the best restaurant in the metro Rochester area, and possibly in western NY. We have been coming--not often--but for years, and I am embarrassed that I have not written a review. Thanks Tony! Thanks Mike and Jessie!!

There for an event so we were seated in the atrium. A little odd having food for patrons brought past into the two side rooms but the filet did not disappoint. Perfect. The wife let me try a bite of the veggie lasagna and I swear I would probably eat that over regular lasagna. Incredible. The staff were also quite friendly and attentive and the location is just awesome.

Maxs was a great place to eat while visiting Rochester. It is within walking distance of the Convention Center. The food was very good. I had the hand cut beef tartare with tomato jam, malt vinegar aioli and fried quail egg, 13 to start. For dinner I had the veal osso bucco. Both were fantastic. I will definitely return.

We were looking for a special restaurant to bring a friend to dinner as a thank you gift. My brother in-law and his wife always had high praise for Rooneys and it is their go to spot for special occasions. We gave Rooneys a try and were very glad we did.

This restaurant is consistently wonderful each time I have dined there. The food and ambience are excellent and the wait staff makes everyone think that they are the most important customer in the restaurant.

You cant go wrong with Max at Eastman place. Ive never had a bad meal here. Unique setting in the heart of downtown. Try the wine mystery bin for a fun and often great bottle of wine at a great price.
