My son and his girlfriend bought me a certificate for my birthday. I called to set up an appointment for a facial and a pedicure. In the process of doing that the girl was not very friendly but I overlooked that, then when she said I needed to give her my charge card number, I said why I have a $180.00 gift certificate. She stated well if you dont show we charge you. I was not happy with that at all, not when I had a $180.00 certificate they should have said if I didnt show they were going to take it off of that. Well no choice in the matter gave her the info. I could go on about the confirmation and all that but dont want to be here all day. I went in and met Katie for my facial, she was so sweet and so nice I loved her and her personality, she is someone that knows how to deal with the public. She took her time with me and at first I thought it was expensive but Katie was well worth it. NOW I went for my pedicure, did not care for the girl Gabriel, first she did not smile and I felt had no personality, very pretty little thing but should not be dealing with the public... well I have to say my experience with her was TERRIBLE.. the worse pedicure I have ever had. I had asked if someone could put a little acrylic on my one toe nail that I ripped part way off and she said she would ask. She came back and said no she is too busy, now mind you I have had this done before and it takes approximately 1 min. at the most. NO... oh dear I am so sorry we are really busy ... no apology at all. I made my comments and got on the phone with my Nail person Holly from Pro Nails and told her what I needed and she said come right in Pam it only takes a second. I told the girl and no comment... she said do you want polish I said no I will have to have Holly do it as I need the acrylic on that one nail... she just went on and then said your done.... SHE DID NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO DO MY CALUSES, put lotion on my feet only not on my lower legs and the whole thing was done in about 15 minutes.. it was terrible and I am so upset I wasted the money on it. And just so you all know I think they had 2 customers... they were not swamped. I just never heard of not wanting to please a customer... I think they should just go out of business, I will be sure to tell all about my experience. I do feel Katie should start her own business I think she would do wonderful, she knows how to treat people. Guess I will stop here but I could go on.. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!!! I FEEL 5 STARS FOR Katie and 0 stars for Maxim.

I went to Maxim for the special "$15 Student Cut". It looked like a nice salon and I figured I would try out somewhere new with the price they were offering. The receptionist asked if I wanted a blow-out with the cut... an extra $10... which I find slightly ridiculous considering it is a simple blow-out and I was not going to leave with my hair wet. While waiting for my appointment, the staff was very unfriendly and did not even make eye contact or smile. The stylist that did my hair cut it in less than ten minutes. Her ring/s scratched my neck twice while in the process. If you are cutting hair for a living... the stylist should take her rings off! During my haircut, she made minimal small talk with me... the majority of the time, the stylist was talking to her co-workers about rescheduling other clients appointments. From what they were discussing, it seems as if they have scheduling issues/not enough time for their clients. The worst part was the blow-out.. it was absolutely horrendous. The only product she put in my hair was a bit of spray-mousse. She used no heat protectant or shine spray/gloss. She blew out my hair in all of 5 minutes or so, going very fast and seeming not to care about the end product. They did not flat iron it. My hair came out frizzy and was not completely dry (my hair is not normally unmanagable or frizzy)... how can you leave your client like that? I dont know if it was because I was paying the special student price and they did not value me as a customer? Either way, if you offer a service, treat your clients well. I will never go back to that salon.

This is the TOP spot to not only get your hair done, but your feet and nails too!! Yes, thats right guys I said feet and nails. These ladies make it look so easy, but they all do really complicated work. They have a huge shelf of Crew products for men, to tailor to your specific hair needs. Right when you come into the door, they always offer you either coffee or wine. I always go right for the coffee every-time cause I am morning person when it comes to beauty. Hair Done, Nails Done, everything done done, you can be FANCY NOW, and this place will help you get there. Stephanie is one of the BEST hair stylists there, and her availability is always booked. I have been going to her for almost ten years now. After hair, its off to the nail department. Stephanie does a great job of getting right down to the cubes, then finishes it off with the clear coat for men ( love my finger nails super shiny and clean, and my dates do to). When its time for the Summer season, a pedicure there is worth every penny. They have these awesome HUGE comfy chairs that immediately relax you when getting your feet done. Plus the pedicures on the porch is a bonus with a glass of wine on a nice day. Overall: Classy Place, Great for Men, Stephanie Rocks!, Shiny Manicures/Pedicures, Coffee/Wine Welcome, Top Notch Mens Crew products.. I WILL BE BACK...in fact...this Saturday!!

Satisfactory end result- highlights- but not an experience I would rave about or a salon I would highly recommend. The front desk receptionist was very friendly, my stylist was very quiet- not a problem for me since Im not especially chatty either. I walked in and it was my first time visiting- I did get the feeling by watching the stylists interact with clients and speak to eachother (during the 3 hours that I was there) that walk-in clients recieve a different treatment than regular clients. It was awkward to hear the stylists bad-talking their co-workers who werent present. Also I didnt realize until checking out that I was charged extra for a toner my stylist put in my hair after lightening it. She did however tell me I could come back for more toner if my highlights werent bright enough and she wouldnt charge me. I probably will go back for it since they look kinda orange and its free anyway- but besides that I dont plan to return. Just not a good vibe- Ive been to much better places that I could rave about and this was not one. Like I said though, I walked out with a satisfactory cut and highlight. Not hating, just saying it like it is.
