The Cliffs is my favorite climbing gym of all those I have been to in CT, NY, and MA. The staff is knowledgeable courteous and helpful. They once sat with a friend of mine who was new to climbing for over an hour, trying to help him find a pair of shoes that fit his feet the best. Whether youre coming for an evening of pulling plastic or taking one of their clinics/courses you will be impressed. The route setting is positively phenomenal, Koots, Dax, Paul and the rest do their best to set creative routes/problems that are equal parts entertaining and challenging. The holds are extremely varied coming from a huge range of companies/individuals, and new routes/problems are put up often. The gym often feels less like a gym and more like a community and you are sure to find someone who is more than willing to belay you if you come alone, or offer you some advice if you are stymied by a crux section. The owner Mike is approachable and enthusiastic, he has put a great deal of care and work into making The Cliffs a truly awesome climbing gym, for which I and many of my friends are very grateful. I started climbing 2 ago years and because of The Cliffs I won’t be stopping any time soon… The staff is extraordinarily helpful and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is very friendly as staff and gym members are always there to give a hand. They carry the best climbing gear and always have deals so you don’t need to go anywhere else. The climbs are always challenging and they set their walls all the time so it never gets old. The Cliffs is definitely worth checking out

I was going there for one month, they have nice staff, a little kind of gym, and the climbing is really nice there, you have for any level, hard ones are a real challenge even for very experienced climbers, and they keep changing it so you never get bored and always have new challenges. its worth it.

The Cliffs of Valhalla is my favorite climbing gym in the tri-state area. The routes are thoughtful and challenging, the staff is courteous, the facilities are quite clean, and the community of climbers is extremely supportive. I would definitely recommend giving this place a look.

New to the sport, but the first few experiences have motivated me to commit to it as a work out. I did stop by once and it was filled the brim with munchkins, but I still found a corner to climb and fall from.

Excellent climbing gym with bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing. The staff is fantastic and the prices are competitive. They also h e some basic snacks and drinks at the front desk.

Jason was an awesome instructor for the Intro to toproping. Learned the basics and we had a great time. Forearms were burning at the end but definitely will be back there again.
