Very unpleasant. To begin with, the gas tank on my rental papers was mentioned as 5/8 while in reality it was 3/8. Before moving the car, they were informed about it and they promised to change to 3/8 in their papers (on my rental paper their initials for 3/8 were added). While returning the car, the papers were still mentioning 5/8. Awful. Then the Thursday 4:58 p.m. original quote was changed substantially on Friday at 10:08 a.m. for no rhyme and reason: just to make money (as the insurance decreased the price for one part). The job promised to be done in 3 days was done only in 4 days because so-called while reassembling the car (on the third day) it was discovered that the belt molding had a broken tab. Either the belt molding got damaged after it was removed on the first day (in which case it is entirely their responsibility) or it was damaged before it was removed on the first day and thus a replacement of it was supposed to be ordered in the very first day. The bottom line: three pricing/quotes (the original one, the one for the insurance 2 working hours later, and last minute addition to the quote for the so-called damaged piece discovered). Rental price advertised is $25 a day. The rental paper mentions $30. They submitted to the insurance $40. Again three pricing! Worst experience ever.

Worst experience with the collision center I gave them 3 chances each experience was worst than the one before it first good front end collision started at 1400 in damage and a few days of work to being without my car for almost 3 1/2 weeks and almost $3000 in work second time rear end work take 1 to 2 days was told their awards system would cover my deductible 3 weeks later pick up car awards program wont cover deductible and have to now pay out of pocket both times asked for extra service work to be performed and never was performed.. third and final time I got rear ended again different car they did 5 second walk around 20 minutes to write estimate never put it in a lift just left it in the spot I parked it in told I could continue driving it gave me my estimate of $600 got 40 miles worth of driving till my motor starts knocking like a jack hammer and there is a puddle of oil under my car is what might have been a minor fix and a saved motor is now god knows what till I hear from the adjuster. They are not thorough at all the thrive off of change order work from the insurance companies so they low ball the work to get it then add the change in after when the insurance company is locked in this time though it may have cost them a whole motor change out

Husband hit a deer after owning our Subaru for about 1 month. We still dont have it back after 60+ days. The most incompetent service staff Ive ever dealt with. Not only is this taking an unprecedented amount of time for repairs, they billed our insurance incorrectly and had the audacity to request my wife, who works out of town, come down and sign the check for work that hadnt been done. And no, not initially, they requested the signature 30+ days after having the car so "we can get started on repairs." Really?? Furthermore, dont bother calling for an update on progress... none of the staff communicate. Even in larger repair businesses, its extremely uncommon for a vehicle to be in a repair shop greater than 2 months. I recommend you go elsewhere. I wouldnt send a pair of holey underwear to be used as a rag to this business.

Took silverado in to have body work done that was on hood, bumper and fender. Estimated 4 day work, after Truck was in for 2.5 weeks I finally called them to see what happened. The only had 25% done and was waiting for insurance adjust. That would be fine except I was never informed on the wait! After 3.5 weeks I got my truck only to find flaws. Another week in the body shop once again for "a day" of work... very mad, very disappointed. Never take your body work there!

i went to matthews to buy a car. I was new in US, and they have helped me a lot with the procedures. However; they forgot to tell me that the car had a huge accident and I found this out 3 years later when I tried to sell the car. I know I had to check it before buying, but I had no idea that I could. I think it is unethical not to tell everything about a car. However, the hospitality was great.
