This dealership has really lost my trust and business. If looking to get a new or used VW, I would recommend going to another dealership from around the area. When getting my car fixed last year, they body shop took a week longer to fix my car than the originally told me. They knew what work was needed from an inspection they did a week before I took it in so I could set up a date to get it fixed. The body shop never ordered the parts or looked to see what they had in stock or needed to complete the job so it took them a week longer to get the parts in, which caused me to use a rental for a week longer than I was originally told and supposed to. When going in to the dealership last week to go through the paper work to buy out my lease, I talked to the receptionist, she called up the person who does the paper work. After she talked to him, I was to wait in the waiting area for 20-30 minutes and the person would be with me. After an hour of waiting, I went to the receptionist again asking if she could see if anyone was available. The receptionist called the person and then went to find the person to talk to. When she returned, she told me that buying out a lease procedure is something that I would need to schedule an appointment for. Why she couldnt tell me that when I first came in and she talked to the person dealing with the paperwork is beyond me. I would have been fine scheduling and coming back. The receptionist then asked for my name and number so someone would call me to make an appointment the next day. Its been a week and I have still not heard from VW Reading. Beware of this dealer, they are nice and generous when they need you or your money. When it comes to your need of something or help, you will not get it from them. If anyone from VW Reading reads this, feel free to contact me so you can know this is a real review from a real customer.

Ive been dealing with this dealership for many years from maintenance on my 1998 Beetle and then purchased on my 2013 Beetle. The experience I had was always great. But I have recently come to find it was due to the fact that they were getting MONEY not that they had great customer service. My 2013 Beetle was totaled in an accident. Of course, during my car shopping I went to their dealership to see what they had available. But nothing was there I liked, so I went with a different type of car, for a change. They had to assist with finalizing the totaling process of my vehicle and they made it A NIGHTMARE. Took forever to process paperwork. Stated they were processing paperwork and never did. Up until this experience I would have returned to them for future vehicle purchases and recommended them highly to anyone looking for a VW now, I wouldnt NEVER recommend them. The sales people were rude when I stated I decided to go elsewhere. The office manager and controller had an attitude when I was trying to get the information from them to finalize the totaling process and reimbursement of my warranty. If I get another VW it will NOT be from this location I will gladly travel elsewhere.

I had just bought a used VW Beetle for my fathers 85th birthday, I needed to have service performed. Upon my first initial phone call to this dealership to the service appointment, was nothing but pure "laid back" professionalism. They were very friendly, professional and just seemed to care about their customers. Ive dealt with MANY dealerships in my past 50 years, these folks took their time with you, in a very personable way that made you feel like you just made a best friend. They did NOT seem stressed and did not rush you out of the service window. They actually took the time to chat with you. As I was killing time while car was being serviced, I walked around the lot, I was not swarmed by a bunch of sales personnel, the one who did ask if I had any questions, was very nice and we just chit chatted about everything and anything. So needless to say, I have to rate my first visit to Volkswagen of Reading a very positive experience. I had planned on ordering some accessories online, but since my visit, I have ordered them with their parts department.

The third vehicle Ive purchased from Reading VW and yet again I had a great experience. Dealt with Zac Remlinger the entire time via email and he was upfront and honest and was able to secure me an excellent deal that I could not pass up even though another dealership had the same car for just slightly less. The care they in each sale with the customer is by far top notch. Also being able to deal Blaine Hassler again was nice as he was there on my first ever purchase from Reading VW. Its nice dealing someone remembers dealing with you and what car you bought at the time. Also dealt with Jeff Hart and he is by far better than the previous finance guy they had. He built a great coverage plan for my car and explained everything in detail. I never felt like I was being pushed or rushed into a vehicle and everyone was honest and truthful which is a nice thing to see in the car sales business. I will always recommend Reading VW from sales to service - top notch dealership.

I continue to have a positive experience with Reading VW every time I bring my vehicle in for service. Ally is very upbeat and friendly on the phone when I book my service appointment. And she always greets me with a big smile and is very nice when I drop off my car. Nate calls me and explains everything thoroughly, yet simple enough for me to understand. I always feel like he is on my side when I get my service done.. He always wants to be sure that I am satisfied with the work being done. When I pick up my car, Wanita is there to explain everything to me and is always very nice. She remembers where I work and that I have a treacherous commute. She recommends some services I may find useful and follows up with that information the next day. Im always treated with kindness and respect at Reading VW and that goes a real long way with me.

This was the third new VW we have purchased from Reading VW. Blaine Hassler and Jeff Hard were awesome as usual. I always tell Blaine that I will never by a VW from another dealer because of how awesome VW Reading is and I have kept my promise. Working with Jeff and Blaine is unlike any other dealership I have worked with (and I buy a lot of cars). They are both car guys and their knowledge of the products they sell is endless. Add to that that they treat me like family and it is a no-brainer why I always return to VW Reading. Thank you Jeff and Blaine for being patient with me and making sure I got the car that was PERFECT for me. You guys are the best! I highly recommend these guys and Reading VW. It is a rarity to have such a good/no pressure experience buying a car these days.
