DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR MECHANICAL REPAIRS. Because of Hurricane Matthew my 06 silverado took on water damage inside the cab. Insurance covered it so I took it to Performance chevy in Elizabeth City. Was able to get a rental vehicle through my insurance and gave the dealership my keys for what was suppose to be a weeks of work. 3 weeks later after calling them twice a week I was finally able to get my vehicle but they were not able to finish the work. They were TERRIBLE with keeping me up-to date on what was happening with my vehicle. Upon the day I no lomger asked but stated i needed my vehicle back, they told me I can come get it but the mechanic was just finishing it up. Upon arrival they told me the mechanocs were unable to finish programming my airbag but would need to bring it back for them to program at a later date. I didnt mind this so after a couple days I brought my vehicle back and then they got it taken care of. A week later I crawl under my vehicle to make repairs and I see a aluminum seal/cover hanging from my vehicle that seals a large block with a large gear inside of my vehicle which was the back of my engine. My oil and filter had not been changed, my U joints werent re greased, airfilter was not changed, my differential fluid wasnt changed, fluids werent flushed, and a long list of things that were suppose to be completed on my insurance estimate and supplement were never done. All they did was provide me a receipt from there shop saying a 500$ module was replaced and then told me on the estimate they provided me with, that everything on the list was done. Keep in mind, that estimate is what I printed out and brought to the dealership. There services staff were professional people but simply lied to myself and failed there job. Ive worked in service departments before but by far the worst. I would never lie to customer nor fail to provide them with a service. If you must bring your vehicle there for repairs, ENSURE YOU GET A RECEIPT OF WHAT WAS COMPLETED AND THE HEAD MECHANIC SHOWS YOU WHAT WAS COMPLETED/REPAIRED ON YOUR VEHICLE. I am a big Chevrolet fan but I will NOT return there for ANYTHING.

The body shop manager, Kevin was great. But my over all experience was not a good one. I had much damage to the front/driver side of my car. I had to have the car towed there and they had my car for about a week and just glancing at it everything looked good. When I got in the car to leave it wouldnt start and I had to be jumped. I traveled over to Wal-Mart and after shopping I got back in my car to leave and guess what it was dead. I and to buy a new battery. While driving down to Wal-Mart I noticed air coming into the door or/window. I also noticed a squeaking when I opened the door. I called Kevin back and he told me to bring it right back. I did. But the Tech that looked at I looked 5 min. and told me that after an accident the car wasnt going the be exactly the same, but I knew that and didnt expect it to be exactly the same but the way I was talked to by this tech was " I was a woman and didnt know what I was talking about." I had my car back a week and it started making an awful racket. the belt for the water pump had broke and the water pump had went out. I have NEVER had problems with this car and always taken it to be services and I had not one but 2 different mechanics look at it and tell me that I shouldnt have had to replace a water pump with this new of a car. I have also gotten a 2nd opinion from a different body shop and they suggested that there was more that could have been done. I dont think Performance looked around under the hood very much or just skimmed over it, and I also dont think they took it out for a drive any of the 3 times it was there. Still 3 months later my car had not been fixed, and I WOULD NOT take it back to performance. And for those of you who dont know where Columbia is its about 1hr 20 min away one way. So I was upset about having to keep going back and forth.

I purchased a used vehicle From this company ,it was advertised for 13,995, I had a trade in vehicle worh at least 2000.00 from previous offer, from another dealer, salesman said he would beat this and give me 2500.00, Here is how the deal worked out, 1. raised price of car to 17,945.00 during financing phase, added900.00 in fees, 55.00 was sales tax for total cash price of 18,903.00, what happened too 13,955?, not done YET!,financing, extended warranty, & gap insurance , total price 25,715, trade in with payoff = 1,309 obviusly we got nothing for our vehicle. ALL OF THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED WHILE SALEMAN PLAYED DUMB, OK SO I WAS DUMB, AND FLABBERGASTED AT THIS RUSH TO GET US IN AND OUT THE DOOR IN RECORD TIME, I HAVE NO EXCUSE FOR SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT, BUT OBVIUSLY I WAS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF, IN A WEAK MOMENT , BECAUSE I NEEDED RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION..IS THIS THE TYPE OF COMPANY YOU WHAT TO DO BUSINESS WITH? I HOPE THIS SAVES SOMEONE ELSE FROM BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF, IN THEIR TIME OF NEED, SIGNED LOUISE M CAMPBELL THANKS MIKE! OH BY THE WAY A MONTH BEFORE I LOST MY VEHICLE IN AN ACCIDENT CAUSED BY SOMEONE ELSE, IT WAS A RELIABLE VEHICLE , BUT IT WAS TOTALED AND MY HUSBAND WAS INJURED , THIS STILL HAS NOT BEEN SETTLED, BUT! CAR WAS PAID OFF AND I WAS WITHOUT RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION AT KNOW FAULT OF MINE.OUR CREDIT RATIG IS GOOD BY THE WAY, RETIRED NOWON FIXED INCOME, THE WORLD IN MY VEIW HAS DEFINATELY TAKEN A HIT!

Each and every person we came in contact with at Performance was friendly, smiling, and genuinely cared about our happiness. From the start of our experience which was a phone call from Ramey due to an internet lead, to the salesman, Joe, to the financing, Ken & to finish up the paperwork, Chris, we were completely BLOWN AWAY with just how easy and quickly everything took place at Performance Chevrolet!! Joe Sarette is a true asset to your dealership! His friendly, outgoing personality made him easy to talk to and made us both feel very comfortable. He doesnt fit the "pushy salesman" stereotype at all and thats what we were hoping to find. We visited a Toyota dealership as well before deciding on our purchase and what made us choose to buy from Performance was that Joe didnt start our interaction with "Lets talk money". He was interested in which vehicle we would be happy with first and foremost! He showed us Chevys comparison to the other car we were looking at so that we could make an informed decision and we never asked him to. He went above and beyond to make sure we were going to be happy with our purchase! Thanks Joe! We are now lifelong customers due to the ultimate car buying experience you all gave us. Thanks so much from the bottom of our hearts!! Jackie Hinchey and Ralph Holmes

Mike Lilly was very friendly and informative. Not pushy at all. I needed a vehicle that my 90 year old 44" mother could get into without any problems..I will recommend Mike to all my friends. Another sales person at another dealership was going to make me bring my mother in to find a vehicle. Mike let me take the vehicle to her home. It worked and I could not be happier. Mike is also available after the sale to answer any questions . I have already called him. He was very helpful. He stayed after working hours explaining all the functions of the vehicle. Will continue to purchase from this dealership and have Mike as our salesperson. Had a terrible experience at a Chevrolet Dealership in Virginia. My husbands 3 year old Chevy truck broke down and they would not let us have a rental. They were not friendly at all. Towed it to Performance Chevrolet Dealership in NC and they offered him a loaner and fixed the problem.
