I have been a customer of Gates Automotive on Thruway Park Drive since they opened. I have used the shop for auto repairs for not only my wifes brand new 2012 Rogue but for my 2005 Jeep Liberty and my daughters 2008 Ford Focus. I get reminders by email when service is due and I am able to schedule repairs conveniently by phone or by email. I have also used their collision shop on two occasions. The last time was for our 2008 Honda CRV which was rammed from behind while my wife was waiting at a red light. Matt the Body Shop Manager took care of all the paperwork for us and repaired the vehicle like new. He took care of everything for us while we were away on vacation. We traded in the CRV for the Rogue and the Nissan dealer complimented us on whoever did the repair as they could find no evidence that the vehicle had ever been damaged. Michael Conroy the Service Manager for mechanical repairs has always taken good care of us. He makes sure we understand what needs to be done and how much it will cost before any work is completed. For anyone who thinks their pricing is out of line, try calling around to some of the other shops in the area as you may be surprised how reasonable the pricing is. To add another benefit they have a free shuttle service and they will drop you off at work and pick you up when repairs are completed. Why would you go anywhere else? They are not rated a top shop by AAA for nothing. Ratings are derived from customer comment cards that are handed out with your invoice and as far as I am concerned the rating is a well deserved honor! Thanks John L.

Two years ago we had an accident with a deer which damaged both driver side doors on our 2010 Honda Odyssey. Geico referred us to Gate Automotive who performed the repair (replaced the door panels, paint, clear coat). Fast forward to April of this year, when I was hand-washing the van. I noticed rust forming at the bottom of both driver doors, while the passenger side doors were fine. I had the Ralph Honda body shop take a look (they have a 5 year corrosion warranty) who then referred me back to the collision repair shop who repaired the vehicle. Going into Gates Automotive I knew that the repair was going to require a complete re-do of the previous repair, which cost around $3500. After some research I knew that a lesser fix of sanding, fill, and repainting was not going to be long lasting. The response I got from Gates Automotive (body shop manager Matt Conroy) was outstanding. Within 2 minutes of inspecting the door he said that something definitely went wrong with the previous repair and he was going to cover everything, including a rental car. Needless to say I was extremely happy and very impressed that GA would stand behind their repair 2+ years later. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for excellent customer service and a businesss whos willing to back up their work.

Had used this shop in the past several times and last April spent $1400 to repair my wifes 2001 Chevy Malibu. This time my Acura needed an alignment, tire rotation, and oil change. The oil change was done, tires were rotated, and the source of the front end vibration was discovered. However, the service person tried to get me to agree to pay $100 to rebalance all 4 tires as a means for diagnosing the front end vibration. That was the first red flag. Next, he told me that the ALIGNMENT would cost $110, which is complete garbage because I had the car aligned at the same shop a few months ago and they only charged me $75. He tried the "4 wheel alignment" lie to justify the cost. Simply put, despite my clear loyalty to this shop the service guy tried to rip me off for everything he could and I will never go back. When we spent $1400 on my wifes Malibu last April we were very poor and had trouble affording food, so we maxed out our credit card following their advice on what it needed to pass inspection. Now I look back and wonder if it even needed anywhere near that much work and it makes me very angry that they take advantage of people and have no problems stealing from customers who have all work done at their shop.

Ive been using Gates Auto for several years now, and have been consistently impressed with their service. Ive taken 2 cars to them on a regular basis and have never once had a breakdown, due to their proactive maintenance; they spot-check things that may not even be on the customers to-do list, and that has saved me more than once. Not only are they excellent at maintenance and service items, they excel at customer service. The lobby has wi-fi, coffee, and a television if you opt to wait for your car. If you have a longer wait, there is a shuttle available to take you back home or to work, which will also pick you up later to get you back to your repaired car. If you need a rental car instead, they will help you arrange to have the rental ready for you when you arrive for your appointment. Their online presence is, in my opinion, unmatched in the area; you are able to fill out an appointment request online and someone will call you back within a day if they have any questions about your request. Overall, Gates Auto is one of the best repair shops Ive worked with. They have excellent ethics, great prices, and an awesome team of people working there who clearly love what they do.

I have never been so pleased with spending $435.00 for an unexpected car repair bill in my life. The way I was treated was unbelievable, great customer service does still exist! First of all the my car dealership gave me a quote of over $1300.00 for the same repair. Secondly I was given a timeframe of two days more than the actual time frame it took by Gates. Thirdly when I came to pick up my vehicle not only was it fixed it was stageroom clean inside and out floors and all. Then to top off the service the person who handle my car came greeted me introduced himself and waited for me to pick up my vehicle, after he left another employee heard I was going to leave my vehicle and return the rental car, which I did not get from Gates, he told me to leave the rental they will take care of it. I dont know how anyone else feels about good customer service but I like to do business with a company that cares about me at least they made me feel that way! I am a new customer for life knowing Gates knows how to take care of their customers. Great experience! Good group of people.

Gates Auto in Henrietta is the place I go for all of my regular car service now. They are always professional, honest, efficient, and they do a quality job. Ive had collision work done, mechanical repairs, and routine maintenance and Ive always been impressed. As a single woman, I am always on the lookout for a rip-off when getting auto work done. Ive had my expert auto guy friends check out their work on several occasions, and Gates Auto always passes the honesty and quality workmanship test. And they often make suggestions that save me money in the long run. My cars are looking and running great. I particularly like the waiting area. Its very clean, equiped with free wifi and desks where I can work remotely while they are working on my car. I love not taking a shuttle to and from work. I can set up my office right there and be productive while I wait. I frequently recommend Gates Auto in Henrietta to my friends. They have my business and my endorsement.
