Coming back from a trip, my Jeeps rear-end kept whining and the vehicle was limping along (especially up hills), to the point that it was necessary to pull over for the 5th and final time and get some help. I rolled in to Firestone in Apex about 6 oclock on the dot (their closing time), and was still welcomed and helped. The shop was closed for the night, but we figured out a plan for the next morning. I kept in contact with a Mike there, and he was very courteous and informative. The next morning a diagnostic exam was performed and a new fuel filter was installed as the Part 1 of the problem-solve. My fuel pump was still howling and they recommended a replacement Bosch pump - which admittedly is a great, high-end piece - but the price I was quoted for that was a little too rich for my blood (I had previously done my research on fuel pumps as I had just installed one 8 months earlier). Of course, this was merely an informed and recommended suggestion to replace the fuel pump (as whining is not usually a good sign :-) ). But, we agreed to only take care of the fuel filter and I would take care of the fuel pump at home (again, I had installed this apparently defective part only 8 months ago, so I pulled it and replaced it under warranty the next day). Anyway, these guys were super nice and made good recommendations in my best interest. If I hadnt installed the fuel pump myself, and if it wasnt under warranty, then their recommendation for a Bosch replacement would have been welcomed... albeit a little pricey, if you dont know what you are doing, you should let these pros take care of it and have piece of mind as well as a warranty they provide. I was however happy with the diagnostic cost and the cost for the fuel filter replacement - given my dire circumstances. Just trying to give some honest feedback from my experience. Would I return? Quite possibly, but Apex is 40 minutes from my home. Would I recommend you go here? Yes, but as I would recommend anyone do, if you have the time/opportunity to shop around at various reputable shops, do so. Theres nothing wrong with comparing prices and letting them compete for your business (again, IF you have the opportunity to do so). Side note - the shop was nice and clean and everyone I encountered was nice and helpful - not talking to me like I was an idiot, but also not talking "over" my head.

Respectfully I am writing this review because I have had my car repaired here several times. I wouldnt discount anyones opinion but while looking up the number to repair my car I noticed some bad reviews. The location is well maintained, well-kept and generally busy. Again don;t like to discount others experiences or negate their opinion but something is not right. I am NOT an employee, or gung-ho Firestone but I have have used them in CA and NC and respectfully never had problems. This location will be straight up about what you need and why and classically are not there to lie to you nor gouge you for dollars but report what they find and make reccomendations. One of my BIGGEST pet peeves is when mechanics lie to women or someone not technical and this is NOT the case here and Firestone has a good reputation. They will try to save you money and by all means I see the techs and management working very hard. Currently, the heat index is 106 here in NC and they work in the shop close to that. The other day when I brought my car in some people called in sick and they were short staffed this happens to any business. I actually could wait 1-2 days for my car back so I let them take their time. The manager their named Artie has been there a few years and is a very affable guy, very pleasant to deal with and helpful as could be. Also the techs there never give any trouble and if you need to talk to them or have questions no problem. Parts are expensive for any car. Labor as well, and this is a business to make money, not a charity. They will help you wherever they can. Its a great place to take your car, again, I must have had 3-4 repairs there, an engineer but not a mechanic. I can do oil changes, plugs, have jackstands etc BUT if you do not have in-depth knowledge or not mechanically inclined, just like anything you need to hire someone for it will cost you more and take 4 times as long doing it yourself. I recommend it highly for all the above reasons...you will get a reasonable quote, they will discuss what they find, they ask for your approval and the prices are good and not a ripoff.

As a female Ive found myself being over-charged at car places time and time again. I can honestly say Firestone had a great price (be sure to check their website for coupons!), great service, and wonderful employees. They truly run an ethical business. I paid to have my rotors resurfaced & the machine accidentally cut them down too thin. Instead of pretending like nothing happened or charging me for the cost of new rotors, they replaced them for me. I also somehow ended up with a flat tire while they had my car, which was irreparable- They replaced this free of charge as well, without even being asked. THANK YOU for the great service and ethical reaction to two very random incidents. I will definitely be bringing my car back!

My family has been taking our cars to this Firestone ever since it opened. The work and the customer service are both outstanding. Theyve always been fair and honest with their recommendations and prices. And the service guys actually got to know me. Even when I came in without an appointment, they knew my name and remembered my car model. Now that Im living in California, Im looking for a replacement mechanic. I really want to stay with Firestone since I have Firestone tires and the lifetime alignment deal, but all of the Firestones in my area have TERRIBLE reviews. 1 - 2 stars and horror stories. It makes me appreciate these guys even more. I miss you John!

Came in close to closing time wanting to get my car checked over after running over a shovel that fell from a car in front of me on the highway. I had planned on making a beach trip that night and wanted to make sure it was safe. Most places were closed or about to close and wouldnt take me. They looked at it no problem and even accommodated an oil change I needed that put them past closing. Everyone was very helpful and so friendly and even had recommendations for a place I could get a replacement seat done for my husbands truck when I asked! I will definitely be back the next time I need any car advice or work done!

Great service! Had a hole in wifes tire that plugging wasnt working for. Went to firestone to have it patched. They were ready to patch within 2 minutes, walked me back to explain why a patch may not work due to the hole actually being a gash. The manager, who was the one that did the actual work, then told me that if the patch still leaked I wouldnt have to pay. He then fixed the tire, checked for leaks while I watched for bubbles, and had me ready to roll within 7 minutes. Couldnt have asked more better than that from a pit crew!
