Let me first say I just read Matthew Tedder review. Wow that was scary and thank goodness you got home safe. I myself can not say those things. I have been going to Reliable Imports Service for about 2 years. Curt, Lee, and Nick are not just good and knowledgeable on what they are doing, their work speaks volumes as I have had other BMW owners who know of them and sing their praises. I have everything from major work done ( Replace valley pan and waterpump, replace centerlink, tie rod ends, and lower control arms) to minor work (fixing the cabling within front seats) each time these guys have look out for me from find the best parts the money or showing their knowledge on things that only a BMW Engineers would know. I have own BMW for many years and there is only one shop that I would have gone to that is Bodyworks in Detroit, MI. Those guys are train Tecs that are certified by BMW and requested to come to Germany to learn how to support the newer models. There are only a few shops in America that can say that. Now understand the guys in Bodyworks eat, sleep and live BMW. Considered the premier BMW repair shop that not a dealer own for BMW in Michigan and most central-Midwest I have had those guys at Bodyworks look at my 540i(02), they asked who did the work and I told them, they told me that Reliable Import Service( Curt, Lee, Nick) did amazing work. The Owner dad tried to buy the car off me because he was so impress by the guys work. So Matthew I truly understand your concern but give those guy another shot I know they do great work. As to the guys character, well I have to be honest they are good nature guys that are hardworking and willing to go the extra miles for their customers. These guys always have smile and are so damn honest( guys the truth hurts sometime in the wallet lol) but they are fair. After all that do you really need to ask where is my review? Well let put it this way, I respect and trust Reliable Import Service( Curt, Lee, Nick) judgement with my car and will still keep coming to them. Bran G.

Very nice people, Im sure they do quality work, but they do take awhile. I had a pretty simple and quick service that took them all day (8 hours). Also, not really sure what this is, but after their suggested alignment, my steering wheel vibrates and its never done that before. As a side note, while Im sure they do quality work on imports, after my oil change they placed a sticker in my car that said return in ~5k miles for another. As the manufacturer, and other shops (including dealers) state, the oil in my car should be changed once every ~15k miles; so Im not sure they are familiar with specific cars - or maybe they use cheaper oil, but I would hope for the former. Overall, nice, clean place with friendly staff; maybe I just caught them on an off day.. Update: After seeing this, Lee one of the owners, called and offered to look at the car again personally. I have to admit, thats some quality customer service. After checking everything back out, they found one of the rims was slightly bent that had been put on the front, probably causing the vibration. They recommended me to a shop down the road who could fix it at a good price. This is a great little shop who genuinely cares about its customers and is willing to go above and beyond to make sure they are happy. Maybe more important than that, these are car people, who really like cars and know how to take care of them. I would definitely recommend this place.

I had my sons 2002 Audi towed to Reliable for what I thought was a timing belt problem. It turned out that the true problem was a leaky power steering pump, but given the age and mileage of the car, the timing belt would also require replacement. The estimated repair bill was large enough that I told John I would have to think about it. I bounced several ideas off John: sell the car as is and use the proceeds to buy another used car, use the car as a trade-in on a new vehicle, or repair the car and keep it. Throughout this process, John patiently answered my questions about the pros and cons of each option and offered his opinions without pushing for a particular outcome. There was never any pressure on me to make a decision; he told me several times to take my time. He was very supportive during an extremely stressful situation (is there ever a good time for a major repair bill?). In the end we decided the most economical route was to have the repairs done and to keep the car until my son got out of college. I really appreciated the no-pressure zone John created to help us make this decision!

I went to this place and talked to Lee about my girlfriends 05 Toyota Corolla. The car was jerking back and forth and we thought that we were starting to have engine trouble. I brought this car to this place for a second opinion because I got an estimate for almost $800 dollars at the other place. I left my girlfriends car overnight and Lee called me the next day with the best news. He said that there was recall on a malfunctioning circuit board from Toyota...in other words the repairs had cost us ZERO DOLLARS. Lee even went as far as calling the Toyota dealership and set us up with an appointment with the fine people there. I was thouroughly impressed with the honesty displayed by Lee because he didnt have to be as honest as he was about my girlfriends vehicle. I have a new mechanic for sure and the only reason it took me this long to post this review is I misplaced his business card in which a grabbed plenty. I also gave them all out at work......thanks Lee, you guys are the best.

I think Lee and Curt are some of the most honest and competent people around. I took my 1999 Saab convertible with low mileage to them, and they told me it had sat around for a while. In fact, my A/C wasnt working well because a mouse had made a nest that made water drain all over important parts like the relay switch and the cabin air filter. Lee found a potentially dangerous right wheel assembly and fixed it. I feel like if you take your car to these guys, they will do a thorough inspection & tell you exactly what needs to be done, nothing extra. I liked them, and I thought they gave me a really good deal on all the work they did. I did not even use the $70 internet coupon because I thought they were so thorough, honest and fair. I want to keep this car forever (I love it) and will always take it to Reliable Import Service.

I first came to Reliable Import Service about six years ago, and since then I have brought my car and my wifes car here for service regularly. The technicians here are the best in the industry and their service is unparalleled at a fraction that other shops would charge you. Thats because they take time to diagnose and fix only what is necessary. Most importantly, these guys are extremely honest, and that has been my consistent experience working with them. If you are looking for a shop that will take time to diagnose your car issues and that will repair your car using authentic parts, look no further. And, they always warranty their work. I seldom write reviews, but I wanted to do this one as a public service duty to potential customers who value quality service at a price they can afford.
