Two maids and a thief! We moved into a new house this summer and by fall wanted to get someone to clean the house after we had settled in. Called this service and made an appointment - they ask you to prioritize what you need done in the house and they send two women over for two hours. We tried to stay out of their way to they could work, so we really werent watching what they were doing every minute, of course. What was apparent, almost from the beginning, was the woman who took the upstairs was doing a fantastic and thorough job. The woman working downstairs seemed a bit slower and unsure of herself. What was more apparent when they left was that the woman who had worked downstairs had barely done anything --- large sections of the floor and furniture had not been swept nor dusted. What she had been busy doing was figuring out a way to steal one of our electronic devices we had left sitting out and charging on a table nearby. We noticed it was missing later that day, and it was so obvious who had taken it that there was no doubt in our minds. We called Two Maids to see what they could do about it --- very little, apparently. They questioned the woman, just to see if she had "moved" it. She had moved it, all right --- into her possession. We waited a couple of days to see if it would magically "turn up," but it did not. We filed a police report. A couple weeks passed before the Char Meck police showed up at our door. They had recovered our device from a pawn shop. It seems theyre supposed to report stolen property, so were glad we filed the police report. The officer who brought it in asked us a few questions --- they seemed to have strong suspicions already about who had dropped it off at the pawn shop. After recharging our recovered device and turning it back on, expecting that it had been damaged somehow, I was surprised and pleased to note the thief had configured their email and left a copy of their resume, including name, address and phone number. The identity of the this person coincided with, you guessed it, the name of the woman who cleaned our downstairs --- the same woman they arrested at work a couple days later. Its bad enough that she stole something from our house when we werent looking, but whats worse is the way Two Maids insisted "we background check" everyone. Its not good enough --- this woman was sketchy from the start, not to mention a LOUSY housekeeper, no matter how you look at it. Her job performance was beyond poor and I doubt she had any training at all. Were lucky that she was dumb enough to leave her resume right on the thing, as well as the photos she and her children had taken of each other with it --- made it much easier for the cops to nail her. And that she was dumb enough to turn it into a pawn shop instead of selling it outright. And I can almost forgive Two Maids for sending a thief into my house, but I could not forgive them for sending me a "professional cleaner" who was anything but that. She was way out of her depth and its doubtful she had any kind of previous experience or training. She was slow, confused and incapable of basic cleaning tasks like dusting and sweeping.

I would not recommend this company to anyone! The two girls arrived on time and began cleaning the upstairs bathroom on a Saturday. One of the girls came and told me thered been an issue with the tile. She said she was using a toothbrush (later she changed it to a washcloth) on the tile and the tile had just "fallen" behind and down into the wall. When I asked why I wasnt told about this right away, I got no response. While the girls were apologetic and assured me that "anything that breaks beneath our hands is covered", I wasnt comfortable with them continuing to clean, so I asked them to leave. A company rep contacted me to set-up an appt. on Monday to photograph the spot. The manager showed up on Monday (40 minutes late with no apology/prior noticed) to look at the spot. Even though it was raining, both company employees wore their shoes inside my home and upstairs on the carpet. I found this odd as this companys job is to clean and beautify homes. I was told I would hear back shortly, but I had to follow-up with them on Thursday. After waiting about a week and a half, the company said they would not cover the damage as contractors (who they spoke with) said that there was no way they have caused the damage. She also said that the tile must have been cracked before their team started. First, this is absolutely not true. The tile was not damaged or compromised at all. If the tile was in such bad shape, as the company has claimed, why would the maid attempt to touch it at all? Second, it makes no sense why I would go through all of this if I knew the tile was damaged to begin with. I had to leave work to let them in to take photos, spend time on the phone with them, and my house never got cleaned the day they came. While I understand accidents happen, I expect a reputable company to follow through on their word- that they would replace anything that broke while they were working on it. Its great that they are insured, but it does me no good if they refuse to cover the damage! I also had out a tile repair company who told me, in their opinion, the maid could have caused the tile to break based on the pressure she was applying (the tile is in the bottom corner of a large whirlpool tub, so she was leaning into the small crevice with her weight behind her). When I told the company that I would be letting others know of my experience (via word-of-mouth and online reviews), she said that was fine as "the company can cover themselves" with the reviews. If I can save another person from going through this, then Im happy. I would consider another company for your cleaning needs- one who backs up what they say!

Recently we have had a consistent cleaner named Angie who is awesome! She is very thorough and knows exactly what I need done. She is very nice, polite and courteous. Ive been very happy with the service from Two Maids & a Mop. I really like that she is the same one who comes every other week because she is familiar with the house and how I like things clean. She is also always punctual and when is there when she says she will be there. I appreciate her great attitude and willingness to use other products of ours that we would rather use. Im very very pleased overall with this service.

First of all, I had the pleasure of working with the Owner of Two Maids & A Mop and that certainly gave me confidence in hiring from them locally. The entire company is built on such good values and ethics and is client focused. I hired Two Maids & A Mop to clean a rental property where the tenant had just vacated. They had their work cut out for them. They arrived on time, were very professional and did a thorough cleaning making it "move-in" ready for the new tenant. I highly recommend them and would hire them again! Glad they have an office here in Charlotte!!
