I have been going to Lavish Hair Spa for about three years. Ive had Ashley S., Velvet, Kito, and Ennette style my hair. Ive never had a bad hair style. I LOVE this team. Last year, Kito and team did an AMAZING job styling everyone for my wedding. My best friend was stunned by the transformation Danny did on my mother in law. He breathed new life into her dry damaged hair. Kito added amazing length and style to my hair. I couldnt have been more pleased. My partner, her sister, and mom left the salon BEAMING. I see reviewers complaining about prices. My thought is, "you get what you pay for". Ive gone to other salons in the past and paid less. When I got home, my partner never could tell that I got my hair done. That really bugged me. Last friday, Ennette helped me create a new style. She listened to what I wanted to do and gave realistic feedback about how to get the style to look good on me. I came home and my partner had a huge grin on her face. She was wowed! Thanks SO much Ennette. You keep me looking and feeling amazing. See you in three weeks for my college reunion style! I wanted to keep you guys a secret. But I am willing to share. You guys are worth every dime!

My praises: Lavish has beautiful decor and ambiance. I loved the way my hair looked when I left and I really liked others styles too! The owner is very personable and creates an enjoyable experience. If you are looking for a salon with a friendly, comfortable feel, with some ladies who know how to do hair...and you are willing to pay a little extra, this may be for you. My complaints: There is a serious time management issue. I made an appointment weeks in advance and I received a confirmation call for the date and time of my appointment (very professional). However, on the day of my appointment, I waited for over an hour before anyone was able to take care of me. Granted they were all busy on other clients and not wasting time, but cmon! Also, I appreciate the time that they take to talk to you about your hair and ask you want you want, but that is what all stylists are supposed to do, and does not warrant a $25 consultation fee. Overall: I would return. I loved my style and I loved the hair of other ladies who left the place. I just need to make sure that I bring a book or something while I wait :o)

LAVISH!!!! is AWESOME!!!,. My experience with this salon was incredible to say the least!!..I was truly impressed with the professionalism displayed from the receptionist to the stylist. It is very rare to find a salon with the decor it has throughout the facility. Th expert advice and experienced service was impeccable and without flaw. In my profession the the is no margin for error or acceptance of meritocracies. I find that same level of excellence in this salon. The owner runs a sharp ship. She is dedicated to ensuring that every customer receives a great ROI (return of investment) with the service the receive. She cares genuinely about her clients and this impression you cant hide because it is an innate quality you have to be born with. I will definitely refer business to LAVISH every chance i get. This is truly how it should be done,..other salons from coast to coast should take note. See ya soon.....@ Lavish

LOVE this place! The decor: grade A. The parking: easy, plentiful and free. The stylists: top-notch. After having bad experiences at other salons, I was on the hunt for a new place. I thought Id give Lavish Hair Spa a try and Im so glad I did! I met the owner, Kito, she is the BEST. You can tell she runs a tight ship. As a new customer, that was great to see. A TRUE PROFESSIONAL. Upon my arrival, and throughout my appointment, the staff was very friendly, polite and really cared about my hair health. Even though I was a newcomer, I felt like a long-term valued customer but more importantly I left loving my color and cut for the first time in months! Some might say they are a bit pricy but I think they are worth it!

I called to make an appt and did not want or need to pay $25 for a consultation. For what...all I wanted was a straw set. Ive been getting them for several months and I dont need a consult for that. They refused to do my hair without one and nearly hung up in my face when I said no thank you...How rude. Not only did they lose my business for good and get a poor review, but they also now will have negative comments go out to several other people about them as I have several friends with natural hair...Way to promote your business Lavish. There are several places that will give you a FREE consultation just for the pleasure of having your business. I suggest you find one of them and take yourself out on that $25...

I am really surprised at some of the negative feedback on this salon. I moved here from Charlotte 2 1/2 years ago and for my first 1 1/2 years, I hopped salons because I could not find a professional salon atmosphere and a stylist that truly cared about my plan for my hair. From the first day I walked into Lavish, I was treated with respect, I did not have someone mess in my hair only to make me sit and wait for an hour for the stylist! Yes, their prices are higher than most, but the care taken to my hair and the professionalism is worth it! My only drawback is I really wish it was an all natural salon, but apparently Raleigh doesnt have the demand for that like Charlotte did. Signed...Tuckygirl

This was my first visit to this salon (moved here recently) and I was impressed with Kitos professionalism and the salons appearance. Its very beautifully decorated with ample space. She did a wonderful job on my hair (got a blow out, trim, & flat iron style), but it was very expensive (more than $80), which is entirely too much for me (I am natural and my old stylist would do the same WITH a deep conditioner for ~$60). If youre natural & price isnt a factor, I would recommend this salon, hands down.

This is the best salon in the area. Kito is the best at what she does and wants everyone to have beautiful and healthy hair. Please ladies dont be swayed by the negative reviews ( they seem to be from disgruntled employees because they were all written on the days unprofessional stylists were let go. Their unprofessionalism is evident in the reviews.) Ive been a long time customer of Kito and highly recommend trying her out for yourself, you will not be disappointed!

Lavish is nothing I have seen better black own salons. This place is very unprofessionally ran and the owner is crazy as ----. She wouldnt know how to run a business or have a team if it hit her in the head.... I pray God takes mercy on her because she is going to tear her own house down.... Jealousy is an ugly trade...... It is never the same staff and never will be... Clients sitting around waiting for hours to get there hair done.....

I could not have found Lavish soon enough! After moving to Chapel Hill in July 2012, I salon-hopped for a while but was never completely satisfied with my hair. Thankfully, with the help of Yelp, I discovered Lavish. I had a great consultation with Kito, and made an appointment the following week. She is skilled, professional, and wants the best for clients hair (whether youre relaxed, transitioning, or natural).
