Wanda Tripp is an unprofessional. She doesnt listen and she has huge issues with time management and attitude. The first day I went to her, I asked for a relaxer and she stubbornly gave me a blowout, to "better understand my hair." It took 4 hours and $71 dollars which is ridiculous since blowouts require little to no chemicals. When I expressed my dismay, she gave me a discount for a $25 relaxer. I went in this past week to get my hair done again, and after it taking another 4 hours (these things take 2 hours, 2 and a half at worse) which in itself was off schedule since shell let other appointments walk in 45 minutes late (which caused others like me to be 45 minutes late), I showed her the discount. SHE PROCEEDED TO GET MAD AT ME. Apparently the discount could only be used if I came in right away and since I got my hair done in my home town I didnt need the discount. Never mind the fact that Im a college student who went home for the summer. Apparently I was supposed to drive 3 hours back to her salon as opposed to using the coupon when I got back to UNC. She called me disrespectful, and told me she wouldnt let it happen again. She even said she gave me the coupon to shut me up. Made sure not to leave a tip.

Martin is a truly excellent stylist. I first asked him to cut my long hair into a short bob style. I requested it be easy to maintain and not require me to come back for frequent re-cutting. It worked beautifully for 3 months (months!) before it started getting shaggy enough that I felt I needed a trim. I was torn between a trim (and growing it out more) or a pixie cut. Martin gave me a pixie cut so awesome that I compliments on it from another group of stylists as I walked by while doing errands; they were on break outside another salon. Martin carefully customizes the "hot trendy look" to work for the faces of his clients as unique individuals. He is a real artist -- and he comes across as a warm and wonderful person as well.

I went to Wanda while in law school and she was wonderful. She really cares about the health of your hair. She always took time to explain the products that she used and how to care for my hair. I have moved out of state, but I have never found a stylist nearly as good as Wanda. I always got compliments on my hair and it was healthy and growing. She did the best shampoo and trim that I have ever had.

Wanted something new, young and interesting. Wanda Tripp was recommended by personal shopper Sheon Wilson. Wanda listened and sculpted a fresh cut and color that took 10 years off my look! She even topped it off with a styling lesson to show me different looks with the same cut. She has an artists touch.

Cindy does a great job at a bargain price every time I go. She cuts my hair exactly like I ask her to. She is very gentle when waxing and makes a lovely eyebrow arch. The new salon is very modern and has a spa-like atmosphere.

It took 15 minutes to find it because it is so hidden. When I got in there all Cindy did was put down other stylist and how bad their work was. Then my hair turned out terrible. I will never go back.
