Our decision to move from our home of 30 years in Chapel Hill was many parts of joy because of moving near our grown children (with Son and Daughter-in-laws Son due in November) and Daughters Wedding in May, 2017...as well as being an hour away from Melissas Mother...all in the Asheville, NC area...and, of course, many parts of sadness at leaving all our great friends and our church family in the process. It is important to make this point because from the moment I made contact with Jerry (Bolibaugh), the Moving consultant with "Two Men and a Truck" in Durham, Jerry was very considerate and professional and was empathetic with our move and our emotions around it. Because of the size and scope of our move, it was determined that someone would come to our home to take review 30 years of memories and determine how best to pack it up and move it 250 miles to Asheville. Les Wilson, Two Men and a Truck Franchisee, came to our home a few days prior to our scheduled move and positive things began to happen. Les is one of the most professional individuals I have had the pleasure of working with in any setting, business or personal. I know this from my personal assessment of his knowledge and authentic desire to not only evaluate my household belongings but to more importantly, to set our minds at ease regarding the move. On Saturday, when Antwon? (sp) and Terrence, arrived at our home (on time) to pack us up...I understood why Les had settled our concerns at ease. You see, Les has the unique ability to hire and retain truly outstanding moving experts who were, at all times, respectful, gentle, and attentive to our many questions. "A and T" were, above all, efficient and exceptional at their vocation and every time frame they gave us, they kept...you just cant get any better than that. Les, we thank you and your entire team for far exceeding our expectations and keeping our emotions in tact. Although we still have perhaps, 35 more boxes to unpack...we are at home in Candler, NC and we cannot express enough how thankful we are to our "Two Men and a Truck" team for an outstanding and memorable experience! 5 reviews 1.0 star rating 6/30/2017 If i could give a minus 10 I would. My items were slowly packed as the movingmen kept disappearing. I found one man doing drugs in my master bathroom. I alerted the manager and she showed up but really did nothing. It took them 8 hours to do a 2 hour job.It took so long I loaded almost my whole garage myself. 3 1/2 years later I am back in town and had my things delivered. I discovered that my things (3 bedroom home with a shed and garage) had been moved from my storage unit in Raleigh to an open dirty warehouse full of other peoples things kept in place by shrink wrap because the Raleigh place closed. It took only 1 1/2 hours to off load my stuff. I realized that all of my items from the shed and gargae such as fishing poles, generator, tiller, grill, lawn mower, hedge trimmers, tools, expensive tiki torches, boating items, etc. were missing, I called the manager and he looked in the warehouse and found my lime green Costco umbrella and a few rakes unsecured and shoved between 2 other peoples shrunk wrapped stuff. That was it! Over $5000 of items are gone!!. However, when my things were being delivered, I had 2 large framed pictures that were smashed that were not mine in addition to 5 large glass shelves, stools and other things that did not belong to me. There was a different lot number on those. Of course I sent them a list of items that I could remember I had in storage. Management denied the claim stating those items were not anywhere on their inventory. I can just imagine the packers the day I complained about them disappearing and doing drugs pulling up to a pawn shop and offloading all those things that were loaded last onto the truck mainly by me. I can image the movers, moving all my items from the Raleigh store and getting them mixed up with another persons belongings and haphazardly stuffed into a dirty, open, unsecured, unmarked warehouse. I doubt they will be in business much longer. Shame on them!!!! Add to list Edit

To all the service members that serve this country as I do, do not sacrifice quality of service for a moving company because of the affordable pricing. Sure the initial process to have them come to move your furniture is good but the overall customer service is a joke. My furniture (brand new-that Ive yet to have for a year) was damaged and upon completing the survey after the services were rendered, no prompt communication was given as when to fix it. To make matters worse, you go in person and then they nonchalantly say, "Oh, hes gone. Hes been gone for a week and a half." Do you mean on vacation? Nope, hes out out. Not to mention when I went in person (an hour and a half drive) the receptionist just responds, yeah hes gone. To add icing to the cake, theyre exceptionally professional meaning theyll talk about you behind your back as soon as you leave. Ive sent numerous emails to this person over a span of FIVE months with little or no response so when I try to inform the manager IN PERSON about this he says, "Well see if we can pull those emails up and get back to you." Upon leaving I figured it would be better to forward those emails to him to make the process go faster and upon re-entering the building I can distinctly hear the staff there talking about me as if Im a crazy person. Im highly disappointed in the lack of respect and care that the personnel at this location have for their customers. I shouldve done like my sister did and hired TROSA.

Ive used Two Men and a Truck 3 different times when moving, and the most recent time was awful, so Ill never go with them again if I move in the future. The team ended up breaking my 55" tv and didnt tell me about it. I discovered that it was broken (the screen was damaged and only visible when it was plugged in and turned on), and I assumed they dropped it and tried to cover it up by not telling me and hiding it in a corner of my new place (even though I told them to put it on the tv stand). It was the last thing loaded up from my old place, but it was the last thing moved in to my new place, so that should have been a red flag. The 3 movers still accepted their $60 tips (a piece), so the lack of integrity and honesty is staggering. Like I said, I didnt notice the tv was damaged until a few days later, so when I filed a damage report, the company compensated me exactly $100 (it should have been $24 based on the dimensions/weight, but they decided to bump it up to a hundred because it was an expensive tv). Needless to say, this barely put a dent in the cost of me having to replace the tv with a brand new one. And yes, I had to throw away the old tv because it was non-functioning. Basically, they can break whatever they want, wont admit to it, and barely compensate you for the damage. Terrible experience, and I do not recommend them.
