Im just now seeing the reasonably high reviews on here, and I have to say that I am surprised. Our experience with two men and a truck was terrible. My fiance and I used two men and a truck to move our furniture into our new house on June 17. The movers were scheduled to arrive at 2:00 and we were told that if they were going to be late, that they call us and let us know. Half an hour passed with no phone call or communication and finally a 3-man crew arrived on a rental truck (Ill discuss the significance of this in a bit). Upon arrival, one of the crew members went immediately to our bathroom and proceeded to spend the next 10 minutes in there. In the meantime the other workers began moving furniture. At this point they began to work quickly, but too quickly. One guy tried to carry a love seat out on his own, and in his hurry to to hoist it over his shoulders, gouged the ceiling, and then continued on his way completely ignoring the fact that it happened. The movers continued to be rather careless moving our furniture out of the apartment. Finally, the truck was loaded up and they followed me to our new house. Once we arrived at the house, it was raining. The movers decided to wait out the rain for the next 10 minutes in their truck (we would have preferred for them to continue working). Finally, they began unloading. When carrying a headboard up the stairs, they knocked a big chip of drywall off the wall on stairs. I understand that some damage is to be expected when moving, it was the way the damage claim process has been handled that astonishes me (Ill get there in a second). The rest of the unload continued until all that was left on the truck was a mattress. Instead of unloading the mattress (the clock would have stopped at that point), the movers stood around on the truck, folding blankets and preparing the truck for departure. This should not have been done on our time! They eventually got around to unloading the mattress and then proceeded to go over the paperwork with my fiance. I was not present at the time. Unfortunately, she had not been present for all stages of the move and was unaware of the time they actually spent working. They ended up overcharging us by at least 30 minutes! They had arrived at our apartment at 2:30 (+ another 10 minutes of the guy in our bathroom), loaded the truck up and pulled out of the complex by 3:50, arrived at our house at 4:00, waited until 4:10 to unload due to the rain, and then finished at 4:30 (should have been sooner, but folding furniture pads obviously was a priority). According to that timeline, we should have been charged for 1 hour and 50 minutes. They ended up charging us for 2 hours and 25 minutes! They listed the wrong arrival time, and charged us for the time they sat on the truck in the rain! Once I caught up with my fiance after they had left, I saw that we had been overcharged. I contacted the office to explain the situation and to fill out the damage claim form for the drywall on the stairwell. The lady I spoke with informed me that she would pull GPS data on the truck to confirm the timelines. But, the truck was stationary with the workers on it for periods of time, so the the GPS time stamps would not reflect the time they spent working! Regardless, it turns out that because the truck was a rental, she was unable to pull GPS data. After several emails, we are still waiting to hear back about this issue which has not been resolved almost a month after our move. Regarding the damage claim, we filled at the form, included images of the damage as requested, and submitted it to the office. Apparently one of their vendors is supposed to contact us to set up a time to fix it, but we still have not heard anything! We submitted the claim on Monday, June 20th. Our experience in general was just not very pleasant. Moving is already a stressful time, and Two Men and Truck just made it more difficult for us. I cannot believe the lack of responsiveness from the office and the complete failure to address the issues at hand. We will not be using them again.

I called the company approximately two weeks prior to my move to set up a date. We got the estimate and then called to schedule the help two days after the original call. They took our credit card and we never heard from them again. Fast forward to my move week. We called to ask a question about what we had to do for the move and confirm the appointment and were told everything was all set. The day of my move comes and the hour time frame to which they were supposed to arrive comes and goes. We call the company only to find out that our appointment for movers had been cancelled and nobody was ever going to come. They informed us that the only way a reservation would be cancelled is if we physically called the company as the customer and did it. Although the customer service agent on the line was as helpful as he could be, someone from the company dropped the ball and did not take any responsibility for it. What is worse is when we called to ask a question and confirm the appointment, nobody ever actually checked to make sure the reservation was set, they just said that we were good to go. We ended up having to scramble for a rental truck and move the entire house ourselves. It was a horrible experience and I would never wish it upon anyone.

Your Raleigh, NC movers completed the move on January 20, 2017, and as part of the moving agreement, hooked up the washer and dryer. We did not find out until the entire upstairs flooded on Friday, January 27 that the washer was not hooked up properly and it drained its entire contents onto our second story. The water ruined the laundry room, two bedrooms, the hallway, leaked through the floor and flood the garage as well. We immediately called a professional, Carolina Restoration. Carolina Restoration confirmed when they arrived that the drainage hose was not secured into the drainage line like it should have been. My family and I are now being told that the repairs will cost upwards of $10,000. I’ve spoken to Larry Peatross, one of the managers in Raleigh, NC and he has acted like he didnt care from the beginning. He simply stated that they are not liable and will not cover anything or compensate us in any way shape or form. Honestly, this has been the worst customer service experience of my life. At least take ownership for the fact that washer was hooked up incorrectly and fix the mess that’s in my house!!!
