The experience isnt over yet. The move from Houston TX went well Took long time for units to get across the country for some reason. Unloader did some damage to home. Damaged walls in two places, very miner damage that a little compound would fix. Major damage is a gouge in our dining room floor which is two color hardwood They sent someone out to look at it. He applied drywall compound to wall damage and did some measurements around the hardwood flooring. Last we have heard from them and every attempt to move forward is met with more delaying. Have sent pictures of damages several times and they ask for more Final step for us is to dispute the charges with our bank and charge card hoping that removing a large sum from their account may get some resolution

At first they give you a quote which makes you feel they are cheaper than other companies providing similar service. But as soon as you are bound to them every time they keep slapping extra charges. Our cost went up by 30% at the end of the move on top of that they never want to listen or try and think of your convenience. Our building in Chicago would not let us park the storage pod for more than 2 days. They refused to pick it up before 5 days even when we said we had to pay $40 per day for that. I would NOT recommend them.

Using Pack Rat to move was the best choice we made. Moving is stressful enough but if you can take your time packing/loading as well as unpacking/unloading, it makes a world of difference. The Pack Rat staff couldnt have been any nicer, professional and helpful. They answered all questions, they were easily accessible by email or phone and when we got done with the unit a couple of days earlier than originally planned/scheduled, it was no problem to have them come pick it up. Highly recommended.

Should have gone with pods... Parker with pack rat seemed uninterested and unwilling. UPDATE! When I tried to get my unit picked up they wouldnt schedule the pick up before a new billing period (so I would get charged assign entire extra month). I ADVISE NOT DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! Horrible experience all the way around.

Our move was very stressful and Pack-Rat helped a lot. They even helped when the house we were moving from did not have a level driveway. Luckily we still have the pod, which was delivered on time, at the new house as it needs some work. We thought a month was crazy but ended up being very helpful.

This branch is completely useless. I could go on and on about my horrendous experience. Long story short, after dozens of calls to every phone number I could find, I never received a single call back.

GREAT service. I ordered two containers for my move across town, and would personally recommend Tony, Jeff and those guys at the Raleigh store. Give them a call if you are moving!
