I took my car in about two weeks ago to get my a/c fixed , fluids changed and my rear sway bar bushings replaced. They had my car for about two days and i called them on Saturday about an hour and half before they were closing to see how everything was going. They let me know that they were just finishing up and I could come to pick it up. I should about about a half hour before they closed and it took about 15 minutes to close out everything. As I was leaving, they asked me if I thought replacing the sway bar bushings in the rear was to fix the noise coming from the back. I told them I didnt here a noise coming from the back and I was replacing the bushing on the advice of someone else because they were wore down. He agreed that they were wore down but told me that the noise was probably my shocks or something and I should have that looked at eventual but the noise is only happening every so often. I didnt really think much of it and thought they are probably right because my car has almost 150000 miles on it. I drove the car home and the noise was horrible. A loud clunking noise coming from the back. I just parked the car and I was going to take it back on Monday because they were closed after I left and got home and closed on Sunday. I already planed on getting new tires on my car at NTB on Battleground next to the Advanced Auto Parts on Sunday so I decided to go get them still since I live close to it. I asked them if they could check to see if the shocks are bad or give me any advice because I didnt want to damage my car going any further. They had no problem taking a quick look at it. The mechanic came back after looking at it and said that the sway bar was never tighten and he tightened these all for me and i should be good to go. It was great that this guy took the time to look at this and fix someone else neglect. The real major problem I have with Honest-1 is that this was something that problem would have taken all but 5 minutes to look at. They test drove the car, heard a noise, assumed it was another issue with the car and let it be even after me telling them I didnt have any noises coming from the rear end. Luckily a sway bar isnt something major and I was fine with it until I got it tightened. I will say because of this, I do not trust them working on my car because they dont check the work they did and assuming it is something else. If this was more of a major part of the car, it could really cause some damage. I will end this with saying I have never written a review about a company before but this really bothered me that they dont take the time to check things like this. I will also be writing a quick review on NTB site because they do take the time to check over things like this even when it wasnt something they did.

I was going to Honest-1 for about a year. I believed they were doing a pretty good job for a decent price but my last encounter was terrible. My car had a noise coming from the front side and I suspected that it was coming from wheel bearings (I literally told them that!!!). If I recalled correctly, they replaced it in one side (cannot remember which side). I ask them to check both sides, but they couldnt figure out what is going on. There was also a rattling sound coming under the car due to a loose exhaust mount and they tightened it free (Thanks!). I drove the car back home and still "jet engine" like sound was there. Next day, I drove with one of the service advisers and let them hear the sound. They kept the car and evening, I got a call telling that they checked the wheel bearings and they are fine but sound is coming from the transmission bearing. According to their advice, I must do a complete transmission job or put a used one. Of course, repair cost is much more than the price of the car itself. They also told that my struts are bad (I dont believe this at all. I replaced whole strut assembly in 2014. I used Monroe and know that they should last much longer than just 3 years. At the same time, I didnt see any issues related to struts while I drive) and the cost of their estimate to replace strut is about 1,200$ (if I remember correct). So, literately the only option that I had was to throw away the car. Since there is nothing else to lose, I took my chances and replace the passenger side wheel bearing during a weekend and sound is completely gone. I was so disappointed because I ask them to check it. Asking me to to replace a whole transmission because of a wheel bearing is just pure absurd. I am NOT telling that they try to rip me off (that is a very bold claim and I dont have any proof) but what they diagnosed is completely wrong. So, unfortunately trust that I can put on them is gone. My advise: It doesnt matter what these service advisers tell you. Just use common sense and get a second (or even third) opinion PS: Of course, I am expecting that the Honest-1 manager might put a comment here and try to justify their story. There is nothing to justify. All that matters for me is my car is running well.

Avoid at all costs. Went in last Monday for a simple oil change and tire rotation and was upsold on a total fluid flush and change which took 3 hours. Now the vehicle is dropping fluids on our driveway. This vehicle has never had any kind of mechanical issues and has never dropped fluids before. Called to ask about getting it looked at and they wanted us to drop the vehicle off. We cannot do that as this is our only car. The person on the phone reluctantly agreed to look at it first thing tomorrow. Going back tomorrow first thing and hoping for a positive result ... UPDATE. Arrived at shop first thing and after looking at the car they say there is no leak that they had just spilled transmission fluid when doing the flush and that is the fluid that was dripping. Also got told several times that there was no way there flush machine could cause any problem and that they are the top-rated shop in Greensboro. Drove the car home and after it sat for approximately three hours it had already dropped about two ounces of fluid !!! Heading back again tomorrow without much hope. UPDATE. Arrived at Honest1 first thing and a leak was discovered within 15 minutes. But I was told I would have to pay for the repair because they did not cause it. Took the car to an authorized Honda repair shop and it was discovered that the fluid used in the transmission was not the correct fluid and that it was overfilled by over a 1/2 quart. Also, at the new shop, I was given a Honda ServiceNews Article stating that Honda NEVER recommends Flush Systems due to the fact that they provide no benefit and can cause damage to systems. The only reason the flush was performed was due to Honest1s recommendation ... wish I would of had this knowledge prior to going to Honest1. In short, Honest1 really dropped the ball on this one and would not stand behind their work. Erik the owner was very apologetic but his staff were arrogant and condescending.
