I bought my mother a large booklet of express wash passes from this AutoBell a couple of yrs ago because it is the closest wash to her home. As she is unable to get by their often I will take her car for her from time to time and have it cleaned for her. Today(Sun May 7th) I went in with her car and paid the $19+ to add some options and have them vacuum and clean the windows. I have been there many, many times before, even with my own car. My expectations were not very high, as I am familiar with this operation and many others like it. The employees are polite and courteous, but very amateur when it comes to cleaning a vehicle. I dont like going thru life complaining, so when the car came out on the end, I grabbed a towel myself and assisted the guys in cleaning the car. Not the 1st time, wont be the last. I had a nice brief conversation with the guy cleaning my car. I explained I was just working the detailed areas that the auto wash never gets, he understood. The only other car there behind me was completed and pulled out, so I wasnt holding anybody up. I continued to rub and clean the problem areas myself even after they young man asked if he could assist me any further. I thanked him and said nope. Along comes asst manager Farley. "Sir, have you ever been to Autobell??" I replied yes. "How it works is you tell the guys what you arent happy with, and if they dont get it right, you come see me." He says. I told him I wasnt complaining. "You cant wipe down your own car. We arent a self svc wash. You cant do that." I informed him it was my car I could wipe it all I wanted. "Dont make me enforce the rules, you cant wipe your car on our lot". His tone was arrogant on a 5/10 scale. Not rude, but arrogant. Never did he ask WHY I needed to wipe the car down. He pretty much skipped straight to the rules.....which I really dont care about. What will I do differently next time??? Well for one, I wont pay the $19 upgrade as it is not worth it. And secondly, I will bring my own towels. When that booklet of passes is finally gone, I wont be back.

My husband took my car to this Autobell location near Brier Creek. We had purchased a coupon as part of a fundraiser for a Wounded Warrior Project that helps disabled vets enjoy the outdoors with kayaking, etc. We paid $14.00 for a basic wash or whatever they call it. When my husband pulled up, they didnt ask him what he wanted for the car. They immediately tried to sell him to a $64 wash! Never mind that he had a coupon to use and/or that all we wanted was a wash and to clean and vacuum the inside. So, after he had to listen to the sales pitch, he let them know what he wanted. We have dogs, so he made sure to tell them to vacuum the interior well. So, they washed and cleaned the car. Once they were finished, my husband looked at the car and noticed that there was still tons of dog hair and the inside of the car just wasnt clean overall. Also, he noticed that the top of the car was still spotty and needed a redo. They did that. He also had to ask them to clean out around the gas nozzle door. Even after he had them go back in a second time to vacuum and clean, the front seats of the car looked good while the back seat was still covered in dog hair. They left the rubber floor mat on the front passenger seat instead of returning it to the floor. The back seat had a spot where a dog had had an accident and they did nothing to clean this even though it was very obvious. We will not be going there again! We totally LOVE T.C. Bunkeys in Durham because they are courteous, professional, charge reasonable prices, and are really top notch. Ive even talked with and consulted with the owner prior to having some leather seats in our other vehicle cleaned and he was wonderful. He didnt try to sell me more than I wanted and he let me know about the imperfections in the seats prior to having them steamed. Also, the Autobell on Hwy 55 in Durham has always been very good too, though they have nothing like the customer service and personal touches that T.C. Bunkeys has. I would go to Bunkeys always if I could swing it. :-)

I ordered an exterior and interior cleaning. Vacuuming and wiping down the console and dash was a JOKE. I was very surprised because I paid less at another place (that had the word Express in the business name) and they did a fantastic job; I had only come to Autobell out of convenience. I asked the manager (not an adult or acting like a manager) about it and he ran it through the vacuuming section again. When he gave the car back to me, he said he wished he could give me a refund and asked who did it, seemingly surprised himself. So he agreed it was a bad job! And he gave me a card for a free exterior wash with "exterior wash" crossed out and "full service" written in pen. Unfortunately, I just saw it and he did not sign or initial it, so I wonder if it would be honored. Looking through my car again, the quality is still not good: looks like dog hair was pushed off the chairs and is in the cracks and sides, still very visible on the floor and seats, and the top dash still looks unwiped. ... SIGH. Bottom line: Lazy guys here, subpar quality, and misguided customer service. UPDATE: When I got home, I noticed my sideview mirror cover, passenger side, was missing. Next morning I called Autobell customer service to see if it were there. Couple hours later, a young man from this location called and said he found it in the wash area. I just picked it up and since I was there, asked him to initial my free full service card. Name was Nolan, NF. I had just met him today. I can only laugh at this point. Unreal.

This is my EVERY ENCOUNTER! I always purchase the Super Polyprocess Wash and it never fails to amaze me that my vehicle is never fully, cleaned, waxed or wiped! I always have to wipe it down myself, onsite! I give second and third chances and this is the reason I go back....Yesterday, I couldnt pass up the opportunity(mainly because I had time on my side) to complain to a manager(RJ) on the unsatisfactory service I keep receiving from Auto Bell...I was truly dismayed and couldnt understand the level of customer service for one, then the lack their of, fully cleaning, waxing, wiping and shinning of a customers vehicle and the service that was paid for. Now reading others comments and viewing the Rate, I am pleased to know that its JUST NOT ME, ITS ALLOT OF CUSTOMERS WHO ATTEMPT TO GET THERE VEHICLE WASHED AT THIS AUTO BELL! When is it time to satisfy the customer!! I AM TRULY NOT SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, CUSTOMER SERVICE I RECEIVE AS I GIVE MY VEHICLE TO BE CLEANED AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT! Please be in touch!!!!!!!!
