God awful service. The manager, Kim, of this circus act charged my debit card without authorization. I think theres a name for that in the legal system. Do you know what the name for running someones credit card without authorization is? The HPW credit card systems had gone down in what was described to me as some sort of freak accident, and so my payment to the school had never gone through. I had paid over the phone with my primary checking debit card. After the first few days of class, Kim had realized that this payment had not gone through and told me that we would need to process the payment again. I was having second thoughts about the school itself and the instructors anyway, as the entire process seemed overpriced and the atmosphere was stuffy. But hey, thats North Carolina and the bible belt in general. I decided that since this company obviously made some sort of error, that I wasnt going to authorize the payment and that I would stop attending class so as not to exploit these people and have their services rendered to me for free, since that wouldnt be very morally grounded of me. I informed the manager of this decision, and she never replied to me. What she did do, however, was run my debit card to collect her payment that she clearly feels I owed her, without my authorization! In fact, I expressly told her NOT to run my card. This tells me that instead of entering my debit card information into the web portal, like she said she was doing over the phone, she wrote down my information and kept a copy of it with her. That is, unless you, the reader, think Kim is able to memorize my entire debit card number, the expiration date, and the security code after I read it ONCE to her over the phone. I had to dispute a fraudulent claim through BoA, wait for them to investigate and return my money (which they did, and I hope these charming humans at HPW got theirs in the form of a fine, but bad press will suffice if not), and completely cancel my card and get a new one. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Avoid at all costs.

I took Kim Fryes class and absolutely LOVED her.She makes extremely dry material as interesting and as enjoyable it can possibly be....shes very funny and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend taking this course with her.Kim in the main office is also very helpful and went above and beyond for me. The only issue i had was with some of the course materials accuracy and would recommend that HPW revamp the math book...other than that, I was very happy with the class.
