Unprofessional. Irresponsible. Noncommunicative. Whiny. That was my real estate agent the days leading up to the start of my contract. This agent is a people-pleaser, and thus he does not get the job done! Give me a realist who can make things happen, not someone who offers excuses after the fact. heres the story: Although I had signed my contract more than 2 months in advance and regularly followed up with the real estate agent, he failed completely on 2 counts: firstly, he did not ensure that the contract was appropriately drafted. I had signed to move in the 1st of the month, while the others tenants had the place until the 31st. Thus, there was no time for the agency to prepare the apartment. From talking to other tenants, I have learned that this is routine practice. Worse, for me, the tenants actually moved out late, and the agent handled the situation in an extremely unprofession way. I, after having spoken to the agent Friday morning and been assured that it would be Monday morning latest and that he would be in touch, showed up with a carload of my things and no where to put them (after having waited for several hours!). He did not forewarn me that there might be a problem; he actually blamed me for the situation. The real estate agent attempted to tak any sort of responsibilty or make ammends. These sort of irresponsible and noncommunicative people should not be leasing property!
