Brought in my designer, Ted Baker, dress to have professionally cleaned at Medlin-Davis Cleaners on Wade Ave, Ridgewood Shopping Center in Raleigh, NC. My dress has a white top with a flowered bottom, and its retail value is $350. I wore it once for a few hours at a party. The tops of the shoulders were very lightly soiled, so I took it in to be dry-cleaned and freshened up. I figured I’d trust this cleaner because they advertise professionally cleaning wedding gowns. I was wrong! The first time it came back, it looked like they hadn’t even touch it. That’s how mildly soiled the dress was. I asked that it be redone. When I went to pick it up, a second time, the dress looked somewhat cleaner, but there was a dime sized dark stain on the back of the right shoulder/sleeve, which was not present when I brought the dress in to be cleaned initially. I was incredibly frustrated at this point. I asked them to redo it, again, (a second redo after the initial poor cleaning) because the cleaning facility placed a black stain on the back of the right shoulder/ sleeve from their equipment, either from the pressing or dry cleaning process. I was very disgusted at this point, but didn’t leave the facility! I called and spoke to a manager, C, who was at another store. She had very poor customer service skills, and sounded totally uninterested in the situation. This was extremely upsetting to me. To add insult to injury, she told me to bring the dress to her, at the other store location, where she was located. I was appalled by her demand. I refused to bring the dress to her, and had to inconveniently wait 3 days for them to transport the dress to where she was located. She never called me when the dress arrived at her facility. I had to call them. I then spoke to another manager, J, who informed me he would send it out to a company located in Maryland that would analyze the content of "the stain." "Quelle surprise," after over one week, the dress was analyzed and the report, according to J, said the stain consisted of "inert materials." The stain occurred while the dress was in their possession, in their cleaning plant. There is no reason for me to fabricate such a story. I, the customer, brought in my dress to, simply put, be cleaned. Unfortunate for me, Medlin-Davis did not clean it, but instead damaged my dress by placing a permanent stain, from the equipment in their cleaning plant, on the back of the right shoulder/sleeve. They refused to repair or compensate me for the dress. I paid for the dress to be cleaned and was not refunded my money. I will not patronize this company and encourage others, as many have done here, to BEWARE of these cleaning facilities. Medlin-Davis is unprofessional, untrustworthy, and will not take responsibility for damaging patrons’ clothing items.

Updated review: from 5 stars down to 1 star because of crushed sleeve buttons on several suit shirts. I recently moved across town and therefore needed to find a new dry cleaners and this location worked well for me. Took sixteen pieces or so to be dry cleaned, separate suit pieces as wells as button down shirts and a few blouses. Was pleased with the staff and pricing, and think everything was ready in 2-3 days, dont recall exactly but it was in fact quick turnaround. Everything looked crisp and clean, didnt inspect too closely when I picked the items up but was generally pleased after a quick once-over so when I received a review request from Medlin-Davis Cleaners the next day I responded positively giving 5 stars. Well, I am now changing my opinion because today I came across my third button-up Banana Republic shirt that has crushed sleeve buttons. I am so disappointed and will now need to spend more money to have my suit shirts tailored and new buttons sewn on. Extremely disappointed, Ive never had this happen with any other dry cleaners Ive used.

Over the years I have experienced numerous problems with Medlin Davis Cameron Village, despite wanting to do business with them. However, after too many mistakes with lip-service given back by management, I never really experienced improvement. The biggest problem was the company "mixing up" my clothes with anothers. Even though, sharing the same last name and same first initial, I thought this operational problem could have been remedied in another way. I got tired of asking for my clothes under my middle name--my solution to the problem. It is all about customer service today.

There was no one to take my drop off clothing. A young man came in after 5 minutes and said he had gone out for coffee. Received a email saying my order was ready to pick up on Friday. Only one of the three garments were ready. Tried to pay for $9,00 charge with a $20.00 bill and the young man said he didnt have enough cash to give me change. I wont be back.

They broke the clasp on my suit jacket, then tried to convince me it must have been broken when I brought it in. After finally admitting they broke it themselves and saying they would fix it, they proceeded to lose the jacket entirely and gave me $75 for my $300 tailored suit. Would not use them again.

Super friendly staff and they gave me a dry cleaning bag, first visit, for drop-offs. Ive been going there now for about 6 months after trying a few other places. They do a great job with work shirts. Theyve got decent deals if you give them your email account and watch your inbox.

We have been using Medlin-Davis for the last four years; for the first couple of years we were using them so much we were part of their pick-up and drop-off service! We have always had good service, never had a problem. We continue to use them for all our dry cleaning needs.
