I have been a loyal customer of Custer for the past seven years. The garage is family run and unlike most auto repair centers, they do not pressure or up sell you into more work then you need. I have had several instances when the work needed on my cars was so basic that they didnt charge me. I have never heard a bad thing about either the work done by the garage, about the prices charged or the management from friends, family or work associates. As far as word of mouth goes, Custer has maintained the best reputation amongst local independent garages. They dont advertise because their good name is all the advertisement they need. I cant say enough about Chip and his family and staff.

I have been taking my car to Chip at Custers for at least 6 years (maybe longer) and can not say enough good about the service, professionalism, fairness and care! Having zero knowledge about an auto and having always been very skeptical of repairs I have finally found a place to take my car and know I will be treated fairly and kindly! Took my car into Custers to have them check out a noise coming from my suspension, and to inspect one of my tires. The noise ended up being from a loose strut, which they tightened up, and my tire was just fine. They didnt even charge me for the bit of work they did, they could have easily sold me a tire and I wouldnt have had a second thought! I just moved to town and am happy to found a good honest mechanic. They will be getting any repair/inspection business I have, and I will be recommending them to others!

Had a recent squeak in my older truck. Took it in and diagnosed "well-over-worn brakes" (my term). Good quote, diagnosis, and repair (my Dad was a mechanic for 40 years, so I know good work). One day for a complete all-four brake job. Reasonable price and good follow-up. I enjoy the no nonsense addressing of my auto problems, and for a quality stand-behind-their-work attitude. Ill go back myself and would recommend them highly.
