My son took his Mitsibishi Montero Sport to JS&J after breaking down on the road heading home to Charlotte from Wilmington about 4 weeks ago. The guys in the shop there were very courteous and fixed in in a timely manner, 2 days to be exact. The Alternator was bad so they put a new one on the vehicle. Total cost of $385.00 which I thought was too high until the Local Mitsibishil dealer quoted me $485.00 to do the same thing.Yesterday morning, 27 days after picking the vehicle up from JS&J, he was headed to hisd first day on a brand new job and his Montero Sport began having the same problems before it was fixed at JS&J on JUly 27th. I took the alternator off, took it to an Alternator repair shop, and was told the Alternator was bad, yes the brand new one that was put on a few weeks back. I was Hot to say the least, so I called and Spoke with John Stone, THE Owner, and shared my concerns with him. Right there on the phone he began to find a dealer close by that might have the Alternator. The best he could do was to have a company in California drop ship a new alternator to me and have it in 2 days. All I can say is Thank You John Stone. You are definitely a Rare Breed Indeed. These days you cant trust many people but when you have the kind of experience that I had, you realize that there are still a few honest companies with Integrity left on this earth. Thanks John and all the caring people at JS&J. By the way, I forgot to mention, this isnt costing me a dime

This is an edited review. It is edited because John, the owner, called me to apologize. I brought my car here awhile ago to check on a squeaking noise. John, the owner called me to tell me about my car said they couldnt find anything or hear anything regarding the noise my car was making. They did do one small repair; changed my differential fluid and told me of one other problem and gave me a few options to take care of it. John was extremely friendly and helpful. Later on the noise my car was making got worse so I called to see if I could get it looked at again. The man who answered the phone, his name was Joe, was extremely rude to me and condescending. He told me the noise was related to the minor problem the John explained to me, but that is not the cause of the noise according to the person I talked to the first time I brought my car there. John saw my first review and called me to apologize and let me know that he fired Joe and was very nice and concerned about what happened. John truly cares about his customers and his business. He is very honest and I would trust him to do any repair on my car and give me a fair price as well.

My wifes Honda broke down at Holden Beach NC with possible transmission problems and I was nowhere near. This was looking like a potential catastrophe. Advice why I should consider getting the car serviced in Wilmington vs Myrtle Beach which proved to be sound. After comparing reviews between JS &J and the local dealerships, I called JS & J. Kenny was responsive and clear with explaining details and possible options. My wifes car was delivered at 9:am the next morning and John called to inform me about what they found. In this particular circumstance, he suggested a $175 repair would be just as effective as replacing the part ($350). My wife was able to get her car back by 3:pm. The day after, she drove 350 miles home and the car runs fine. Competent, honest and professional businesses like this should flourish as everyone benefits. John and Kenny were simply great to deal with and anyone in that area needing repairs with their Honda or Acura should consider JS& J. Highly recommended.

Ive been around mechanics all my life and have heard stories of how they treat people and their vehicles. THIS PLACE IS DIFFERENT, IN A GREAT WAY!!! Ive heard several comments on how great these guys are, so I thought I would give them a shot at a brake/rotor job and A/C service. OUTSTANDING. They never once tried to take advantage of me, instead, they told me that my brakes still had some life in them and I could put the repair off a little longer. They did catch a unknown problem with my car, but didnt pressure me to fix it immediately, AND offered to show me where to check my clutch fluid level! This shop has won my business. HONEST MECHANICS ARE EXTREMELY RARE, THESE GUYS ARE TRUE GEMS!

I broke down while I was traveling and ended up here. Several people stopped while I was on the side of the road and told me to get towed there. I was in town for a wedding. Not only did they take me right away, but got the car back in 3 hours. Had to replace the alternator. Well 11 months later on another trip in the middle of nowhere, my alternator failed. I paid to replace it again. Not only did they cover the cost of the part,when I sent it to them. They also gave me my shipping and labor back. Truly a business that has values. I wish I lived there so they could be my service center. Thank you!!! You have restored my faith in repair shops.

I bought a Honda Fit at Stevenson Honda several months ago. It was supposed to have been fully serviced by the dealer prior to my purchase. For the first several months of owning it, the gas mileage was terrible. I just thought it was the car. After I had a 30k mile service from J S & J, the car is suddenly getting at least 5 mpg BETTER on mileage. I have no idea what they did, but whatever it was, my car runs so much better now! And, the service was about half the price the dealership wanted to charge. J S and J is wonderful - friendly, fast, honest, and efficient. I will never allow anyone else to touch my Honda!

I was pleased with prior work on my cars but when I took my sons car there and told them the ball joints needed to be replaced I was told by their mechanic that they did not have enough play and did not need to be replaced; so they just lubricated the joints. Not even two months later my sons entire tire came off of his car while he was driving with him and his brother in the car. This could have been deadly! After going to another shop we found out that the left ball joint had popped out of place; they should have been fixed when I asked. Will not be going back.

I love this place and will not take my car anywhere else. I had been taking my car to the dealership for its regular maintenance but after always getting bad customer service there and spending a lot of money with them, I found JS&J, which was a much better experience. They have great customer service and they are honest people. The prices are great and the turn around time is awesome as well. I will never take my car back to the dealership again and will continue to take my car to JS&J.
