**EDIT** In haste, I may have left the readers of this review with the wrong impression. Texas’ guy DID come back out and finish the job, 45 minutes after I called to demand it, with a water softener purging water all over itself. Now this was a name brand water softener that I had bought from a big retail shop. So, it may have been a design that his guy never dealt with, but I never heard the guy, once, ask for the owner’s manual. I do not want to skew the facts; he did finish the job. On that note, after leaving the review I received a call from him asking that I get back with him. I was in class and needed time to do so. That call seemed tense and accusatory, again, I can sympathize, I did leave the lowest rating that his company received on this rating system. After his initial call I had spent the day thinking about getting back on here and revisiting the rating, maybe I was a little hasty and callous. However, when I could do so, I noticed that he had commented that he had no record of me being a customer of his. So, I consulted my receipts to ensure that I did have the right company, and I did. (It is hard to find another Speedy Plumbing, with an owner named Texas, in the Wilmington area). In calling him back we found that we are not fans of each other. My strategy was to simply clear up anything that “was not true”. His strategy seemed, to me, to justify his actions and, in no small part, to denigrate my choice of rating, as well as my person in general. There was no foul language used by either side, that I am aware of, we simply did not see eye to eye about the concept of “finishing the job”. In retrospect and summation, I probably would have revised my star rating to a 3 and a half (I don’t think that is possible). As such, I am sure that his company has many happy customers, and I am also sure that his people are competent, most of the time. However, that is not the vision of his company that I have received. Professionalism is not just the totality of your work, it is the summation of the all the parts.**EDIT** They did not come to the project with the parts they should have had, and they left with out finishing the job; the exact words were "Yeah I knew there where two drains but I couldnt find it". They were pleasant to talk to, but it often seemed like the information that I was receiving was not correct, of which, the information was found to be incorrect. Plumbers are expensive, and this was not the service that I paid for.

Had a warranty claim on a broken pipe in my attic and couldnt get a plumber out to fix it for 3 days. When the plumber I was assigned finally arrived they said it was too difficult. I then called Speedy and they arrived within 2 hours and problem solved. I also had them install the plumbing for a remodeled kitchen a while back. Tex quoted me a price and finished the project very timely. When I got the bill the price was exactly what was quoted which is very rare when dealing with any contract work. I wouldnt call any other plumber in my area.

I recently used Speedy Plumbing to handle a commercial plumbing issue. I had never used them before. Less than 10 minutes after contacting the owner, Texas, I had 4 of his plumbing technicians onsite to address the issue. Texas also arrived minutes later to coordinate and direct his staff. His expert diagnosis lead to a much greater and intense repair that he handled seemlessly for us. Quick, knowledgeable and thorough. Great Job guys

I had a pipe burst in my outdoor shower in January at 6pm, water everywhere, called Speedy plumbing. Texas was there by 7:30, put a band aid on it to last the night, was back next day for full repair. Very satisfied with promptness, courtesy and professionalism of this Company, they will remain first call for all our plumbing needs.

Water heater rupture at our store, shutting down our kitchen. When time is money, call Tex. After initial estimates of down for 5-6 days, which would have been a disaster, Tex had a commercial heater in house in HOURS and we were back and running in a day. Speedy. Thats damn right.
