Last Summer your company fixed our water line going into our house. It was excellent work, your men were the best, and the whole experience was an A+++. Unfortunately, That was not the same experience I encountered with your men that were sent out yesterday to change faucets on sinks and tubs in two bathrooms. We knew the job wasnt going to be extremely easy, but that is why we hired professionals or so we thought. The two men that pulled up in my driveway sat in the vehicle for several minutes and when they did exit you would have thought they had been asked to jump in a volcano. I have never seen two grown men have such bad attitudes and it just went downhill from there until I finally cried. I was ashamed of that and I did apologize to them. However, they did think I cried because I wanted a better price. The price was high but more than anything I was overwhelmed and I had my two young grandchildren with me and I just wanted it all to stop at that point. The two men had already told me that the job would take until midnight if I wanted them to do it I needed to okay all that. I told them that I would pay the service call and talk with my husband when he got home from out of town. The paper they had me sign when I paid them said i refused the job because of money. I feel as if I was scammed by two men that made up their minds not to do the job even before they got there.

I recently had Stemmle come to my daughters home to do some work on the waterless water heater. My daughter is in a wheel chair and it is not easy for her to take off work and wait for a plumber come and then to try to guess if he is being upfront with her. The Stemmle Tech called 30 minutes before he arrive and arrived right on the dot. He was extremely courteous about not tracking up the floor (or anywhere else. At no time did he try to sell me anything. He was very thorough before giving me an estimate. He didnt try to sell me a plan nor any new "updates". In addition he informed me of every step he took in the process and how the process worked. He made sure that I was knowledgeable of what he was doing. He did not seem to be hurrying along in order to get to his next job and ensured that I was please with what he had done. In addition, the company phone and made sure that I was happy with the job. I would heartily recommend this company for others.

Beware of their pricing model. They claim in a complaint I filed with the Better Business Bureau that they use a Fixed Price model so there are no surprises. My belief is they use a Fixed Price model to gauge unknowing consumers. Case in point, our building manager engaged Stemmle to complete a re-piping job in a condominium we own in Richmond, we were not present when the work was performed. Upon our return we were presented with a bill for $625.00. Upon asking the building manager how long there single plumbing technician took to complete the job we were told Two Hours! We called Stemmle to request an adjustment to there bill based on time and materials and were told they do not quote on a T&M basis even though there invoice had a provision for T&M quotes. No adjustment was made. Again my advise beware of this company and their so called pricing model. Dan Harrington

Was having some trouble with our septic system and asked Stemmle to come out and provide a second opinion on the issue, and provide a repair quote. We were told it would be $80 to have someone come by and talk with us. They gave us a date and time, and we met them at the house. However, the person who arrived was just a pump-guy, turns out their septic specialist wasnt available, so he charged us $200+, pumped our tank and left. We setup a second appointment, when we got home during the inspection window, we found he had already come and left. We never got a quote or anything in writing as to the issue or a recommended fix. I called back and was told it would take some time to figure out what they wanted to do to fix it. I wanted three more weeks before disputing the transaction on my credit card. Im now having someone else do the work.

Hurray for Stemmle! We own a Fan home built in 1896. Sewer line collapsed in front of the house in 2009. Stemmle relined from street to house front. Worked great. In January 2017 do to roots from city trees on city side, house back to a rear of the property carriage house sewer needed cleaning. Discovered this portion had deteriorated. Stemmle relined this portion. This took two long days. Willie, Jason, and Justin made sure we could use the house at the end of the first day. They returned on time the second day and worked till the project was done. After dark! They cleaned everything, including putting rugs back down on cleaned floors. These three guys deserve a big round of applause as does Stemmle. We highly recommend this business!

I needed our home septic line to the distribution box located and mapped. Brent and Aaron arrived within the scheduled time and I told them what I wanted them to do. Both men were extremely respectful and professional. They used a camera connected to a cable and a metal detector. Brent explained to me how the detector worked and I watched the screen show him where the camera head was while it was in the line. I mapped out the septic line to the distribution box and Brent probed and showed me the perimeter of the box. Both men were very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I will definitely call Stemmle Plumbing if / when I ever have any septic tank problems. I will also recommend them to my family and neighbors.

I cannot even give a star. I am a well established General Contractor with various commercial and bank clients. I called them to get a bid for clearing a sewer line. My client has a store with non working toilets. I received bid approval and called them to set it up. The approval was exactly as they bid it and I pay with a credit card - so no waiting or billing. They informed me that - even though the bid they provided was approved just as they provided it - they didnt want to do the work and declined. I am "too much" like a third party. Huh? I am a GC!!! I pay right away. They put me in a horrible position and because I "thought" they wanted the work - they have dragged me out since Friday. Very unprofessional and rude.

I am a new resident in the Richmond area and we had an issue the other morning with a water line freeze. I called Stemmle and they said they could come out sometime after noon. In fact the technician, Daniel, arrived at 10:45am which was a pleasant surprise and very much appreciated. He quickly was able to diagnose the problem and was super friendly and informative in explaining it to me. With his guidance the issue was resolved within an hour and when you have no water on a cold morning, every minute counts. I would use Stemmle again without a second thought and based on my initial experience I would highly recommend them. Thank you Daniel.
