I had Taylors come to my home to diagnose my boiler, that was no longer working. We were told that the issue was the inducer motor and was told it would cost $1000 to fix. We were also told that there was a $90 charge to diagnose the issue that would need to be paid if we did not hire them right then. As you may imagine after receiving a $1000 quote for a brand new boiler system, we decided to get a second opinion. The next company that came said that the inducer blower was fine and the zone valves are actually the issue. This only cost me $350 to fix versus the $1000 that Taylors quoted. While the other company was looking at the unit, they noticed that there were things disconnected etc. The Taylors employee did not only diagnose the wrong issue but they disconnected pieces and wires without putting the unit back the way they found it. I basically paid them $90 to worsen the situation. Luckily I did not give them the go ahead to replace a $1000 part that didnt need to be replaced. Even if the inducer motor was the actual problem, Taylors was priced higher than any other company I spoke with. I would not recommend Taylors. They do not seem like an honest or reasonably priced company.

Putting air conditioning/and boiler in a house that is almost 100 years old and heated with radiators is a difficult assignment. Maintaining the historic integrity of the home was very important to me since I have spent the last 15 years restoring this gracious old lady. Everyone on the job was knowledgeable, professional and personable. The team took pride in their work which was well earned. We worked together on how problems would be solved for which I was very thankful because the solutions not only had to have engineering validity but also hability considerations necessitated by artwork and building "personality." I would highly recommend Taylor Heating and Plumbing for both new and renovation installs.

I have been with Taylor Heating for over 30 yrs. and have always relied on their good service and reminders when I needed service. But lately, I feel they have become much more interested in their selling abilities and the cost for them to come out always ends up way more then I planned on. I felt the last time that the young man that came out used scare tactics on me to sell me many new things that I didnt plan on doing while still in this house. Give me back my good old dependable guy who did what he came for, made recommendations and told me how everything was running, but in a polite, friendly way. I dont like the new hard-core sell!

I think that the current business model they go by is more about getting sales and raising revenue than anything else. Be very careful when they talk you into the "higher end" units to compensate for insulation etc... There is a disconnect between the three depts, sales, customer service and installation, you can only talk to one at a time then they relay the messages to the other depts and stuff gets lost in translation. These guys also are at the very upper echelon of pricing especially for small jobs. The reason for the 2 star and not 1 is for the installers, the ones I have dealt with are very good.

Alls well that ends well. The manager quickly refunded the charges to me. Great customer service. We are all happy. Nothing, I was told a technician was to come and analysis on water heater. The guy had no tools or work clothes. Without checking anything he said due to the age I needed a new heater. This diagnostic cost $91. The owner of this company was very apologetic to me for the lack of service rendered and immediately refunded the charges to me. We are satisfied with the outcome of this unfortunate situation. Im sure some of his technicians are very competent.

Earlier this summer we had our annual "checkup" on our gas fireplace insert. Our tech that did the maintenance found cracks in the glass of the fireplace. He immediately showed me and said he would order a new glass. Because be bought the fireplace from Taylor and have regular maintenance, they were on top of the situation and said it would be covered. As soon as the part came in, Taylor came and replaced it. As always, when the techs come to do work, they take the greatest care to make sure everything is done right. Thanks guys!!!

At one time this place was won of the bettter places, a place you could trust to give you good service and a honest price for their work, well not anymore, please find someone you can trust for your heating and cooling needs, talk to frends and do your homework, these guys will take advanage of the elderly and those who are not as knowledgeable as some. They charged us over $300 for half hour of work and a $15 part that took 10 minutes to install, and the part they replaced was not even faulty. Save your money

Serviceman mentioned one repair needed, but said it so casually I thought it was minor and didnt ask the cost (nor was told). Ended up making two repairs and the bill was more than expected. Talked to someone there and they refunded part of it. Im happy overall because I do believe my furnace is running better, I do believe the repairs were needed, its just the serviceman this time goofed on telling me the upfront costs. Since they made good with me, Im leaving a positive review.

This was our first time using Taylor Heating. I was very pleased with communications from their office. They called not only to confirm my appointment, but then again to update me on when the service tech would arrive. Our service tech, Jim K., came out within the time frame specified. He was respectful, knowledgeable, detailed, and kept me in the loop during the furnace tune-up. I was very happy with the job done and would gladly recommend Taylor Heating.

Taylor has always been professional, we use them for heating, air conditioning and plumbing. Their service contracts are reasonably priced, and in the rare cases when we werent 100% happy with the service, theyve bent over backwards to make things right. Theyre professional and kind. Theyve walked me through a few issues over the phone - as a new homeowner, its nice having them in my corner!

I had quotes from three companies for my furnace. I felt that Taylor was the most knowledgeable and offered the most for my money. Everything was completed as quoted, on time, and they pointed out additional things that we could do on our own to better insulate our house. They were never pushy and did not oversell their product.
