I have used and recommended Gatti Plumbing several times over the past seven years, and have been very satisfied. This 1-star review speaks only to my most recent experience, when I had a serious backup and overflow in my basement bathroom. I described the situation in detail on the phone, so the technician who arrived should not have been surprised that it was "dirty" water (although there was no standing water or raw sewage). The technician refused to do the work until an emergency clean-up company came out, although he promised to return later that day when the clean-up was complete (I learned later from Gatti office staff this was inaccurate, no one would be available except on an "emergency" basis for at least 2 days, and at a much higher cost). When I spoke with the emergency clean-up company representative, he said that it was pointless to come out if the back-up had not been resolved (ie, the drain already snaked), since it would just happen again. I then spoke with three individuals at Gatti, none of whom helped find a resolution even when I relayed the experienced opinion of the clean-up company. In the end, the representative of the clean-up company suggested I just call another plumbing company. I did so, that technician arrived promptly, snaked the roots out of the drain, and said I just needed to clean the small area affected with bleach, there was no mold or filth that was hazardous enough to warrant a more intensive clean-up. I do not know if the Gatti technician was simply inexperienced or if this incident represents a detioration in service quality overall, but because of it I will never use or recommend Gatti Plumbing again.

I was doing a basement remodel in my home and didnt have a plumbing guy. None of my friends had any recommendations so I was out on my own to find a plumber. Gatti was quick to schedule a free quote and outlined the work that had to be done in a very professional manner. Of the three other local plumbers I had contacted, Gatti was $1000 cheaper than the rest. They were very flexible and worked around my schedule. The workers were respectful toward me and my home. What impressed me most about their service was their commitment to the quoted price. During the job some complications arose (not to the fault of the workers) that turned the half-day job into a 12 hour job. Gatti was at my house from 9am to 9pm that day and I was expecting additional charges for the extra time. To my surprise they stuck to the quoted price and apologized that the job took longer than expected. Their work was very clean and to code. It is safe to say I now have a plumbing guy and someone to recommend to my friends/family.

I called on Monday in the late afternoon and discussed needing a part in our tub replaced that had worn out. I was politely provided a very reasonable quote for the job too which some companies wont even do. I was then asked when Id like someone to come out to make the repair thinking it would be a few days so I asked for the following day which worked with my schedule and they said what time would I prefer... Wow. Now thats service. Usually you get the appointment that they want you to have. So on Tuesday I received a courtesy call just before Jim showed up with another technician he was training. They put protective covers on their shoes as soon as they entered the house to keep the floor clean. They immediately started the repair. Extremely professional fellows and very through asking to check pipes in the adjacent bedroom closet to make sure no leaks. I will be calling them again for any future plumbing needs. Thank you Gatti team.

I needed a pretty sophisticated work done - to replace whole shower system in an old house, it was of an old standard and not easy to replace. I called a few places with best ratings, some refused to give any estimate over the phone, gatti did it gracefully-over the phone. They new exacty what to do. I also had a tech came from another service, he wast sure what to do and gave me double cost estimate of gatti. Gattis phone support was great - the lady on the phone was knowledgeable and got the answers from engineers quick. It was easy to get an engineer onthe phone and his consultation wass helpful. Donna, the receptionist was good in receiving pictures from me via the email and sending me options. The tech did a good job. One of the parts he installed was defective- i called next morning, people on the phone were understanding. The tech came , replaced one of the parts and this was it. I am very pleased.

I called for a frozen pipe that needed to be taken care of for my rental property. It was determined by the plumber that is was in fact the faucet that was broken. After "fixing" the faucet the plumber realized that it was in fact a frozen pipe and not the faucet. The frozen pipe was fixed and the plumber said he could not put the original parts back on because he "could not find them." When asked how much the total charge was going to be he said $160. A few weeks later the almost $400 showed up on my credit card. The supervisor said it must have been a miscommunication and that was it. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT use this company... unless you want to be ripped off or overcharged for things you didnt want in the first place.

In the last month I have had Gatti out for three different issues -- a leaky bathtub, backflow inspection, and hot water tank replacement. I have been impressed with each different person. Both the plumbers and the customer service staff are clear and upfront with pricing and share consistent information -- also providing warning when they see something that may cost more. All three prices have been in line with what was initially communicated. As to my water heater, it could not have been an easier or faster experience -- Gatti was out and had the water tank replaced before the other company I had called even returned my call. Could not recommend them more highly -- especially if you live in an older house.

I moved to ROC in 2010 and used the plumber the realtor recommended- he was horrible so I asked around and a few of my co-workers recommended this company. I have used them twice (for two different problems) since I moved here and both times the plumbers were very friendly and very professional. The rates they charged were significantly lower than what I had expected and the plumbers even tried to find the least expensive solution. I am very happy with their service and would definitely call them again.

I just had the nicest young man fix my pipe and I forgot to ask him his name. The price was reasonable also. After my experiences with other plumbers I expected a huge bill. I am very happy with Gatti, especially now if I have another plumbing incident I feel I have someone to call. What a relief that is . I would recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber. I live in a condo and the Association always has this company do work here and now I understand why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
