I am an IT professional, specifically a Linux consultant, who telecommutes full time. I use a Lenovo ThinkPad as my primary machine for system administration and software development. My wife is a market research specialist, also a telecommuter. Together, we have purchased around six or eight laptop computers from ACS, mostly refurb machines. We have always received excellent equipment and great service. The technicians at ACS are way above the people at big box retail stores in terms of knowledge. Even though my own degree is in hardware design, I rely on their advice as to which of the new models have a proven track record for reliability and are a good fit for my needs, when I upgrade. I know the circuitry, but ACS knows the product lines. These people have been terrific about supporting Linux. Several of their techs have at least moderate experience with it, and they have been very good about letting me boot up a live Linux CDROM to test compatibility before I buy. Over the past ten years, using my system as hard as I do, I have of course had occasional need for service. Its been very rare, but it does happen. ACS has done a terrific job getting the machine repaired correctly and quickly. As an IT professional, these are the *only* people besides myself whom I allow to work on the machine that earns me my livelihood. Im sorry a couple of others have had bad experience with ACS. I note that the tech skill level of at least one of the low-reviewers is novice at best, and this leads me to think there may have been a misunderstanding and unrealistic expectations. Coincidentally, as I write this review, today is the day I will be stopping by ACS to pick up the new ThinkPad machines that my wife and I have just purchased as an upgrade. After three years of hard use, our other machines are still running fine, but in my line of work you need to keep up with technology. Our old units will be passed on to family and friends and will deliver many more years of good service, Im sure, for people who dont need a cutting edge machine. I highly recommend ACS.

Its funny, most people work 9-5 jobs and have the weekends off. Whats not funny, is how everyone who does work those hrs can never go get what they need from this company because they close at 5 and are closed on the weekends. Even though this company has great sales and is doing well, I cant understand why they wouldnt want the extra customer clientele. I hope in the near future Ill be able to enjoy the ACS experience myself.

Professor Bob is a great person to work on my computer. He is very reasonable and knew what my issue was before I arrived at his shop. Unlike other Computer "repair" services, I did not have to purchase a multi-hundred dollar, multi-year service agreement to get my computer evaluated, parts ordered and repaired. I intend to deal with him as long as I am in the area, have a computer, and he is available. Highly recommend.

The owner (more specifically the guy who claimed on 19 august 2016 at 330pm to be the only person I can talk to) of this store is an agressive know it all who has the people skills of a raging rhino! He was agressive from the begining of our conversation and then refused to help. Assuming they fire this individual I may return but this was insanely rude and frustrating. If you own this store please feel free to contact me.

these guys are the best especially don that does the service. They are always helpful and tell you if it will work good so you dont waste your money. real fast to. I have gone to them for a long time and always great. dunno what that hater mike had a problem with but from his reviews other reviews he seems like a jerk and the problem had to be his.

Just called to see if they had motherboards. The guy was rude, and was unwilling to help. After sharung a few choice words, i hung up. He immediately called back to continue arguing about my charachter. Stay away from this place. Also, i just needed an amd chipset board and they say they dont carry them, only intel...pointless.

Great service, fast, and inexpensive compared to other options. They take the time to explain to you in non techie terms so you can understand even when computers are not your thing. They also are good at saving you money because they will tell you if something is worth fixing or if a product actually works as advertised.
