It took these guys roughly two hours to perform a two-wheel alignment, something that Ive seen done in 15 to 30 minutes, but thats not a total deal breaker for me. What is a total deal breaker is when other parts somehow fail to work after the car is under the care of someone other than its owner, and no one admits fault or even tries to inspect and correct a clearly mishandled situation for the customers satisfaction. My car alarm somehow stopped working after having a simple alignment done for the first time at the Midas on Brittain Rd, which suggested to me that a wire may have came loose during whatever it was that they were doing to my car at the way back of the shop (where you couldnt see) for two hours. Ive had plenty of quick alignments done with no problems. When I voiced my concern about this new and rather simple problem, I had one employee telling me to wait for the manager and another telling me that I just spoke with the manager, twice. No one knows who the manager is? OK. I had one guy trying to tell me that my whole alarm system was bad. Never mind that everything worked before I placed it under your care. These guys are crooked and everyone seems new. They tried to charge me roughly $100 just to go over what they did. Why would I pay that, so that you can F something else up?!! They claimed that they werent under the hood either, but gave me papers for a courtesy check after the alignment, which clearly proves that they were or at least to some extent. My car alarm came back on about a day after the work and after hitting a few potholes. Its just an alarm, but its the principle behind it. I will treat this Midas like a bunch of lying wh*res and never return T-B-H.

Short story: I think they diagnosed my car problems correctly and honestly, and did not try to scare me into getting the car repaired. They also said that the estimate on the repair price could be "price matched" which is helpful. I think they also want the customers to understand whats wrong instead of just telling them whats wrong. Long story: My car had a coolant leak (I could see the green coolant fluid all over my engine when I opened the hood) and was spewing fumes so I took it to the nearby Midas. The guys took it in to look at it, they never really gave me an estimate on when they would get to it or when theyd be done (which I couldve asked, of course) so I didnt give them 5 stars for that (Im also stingy with my 5 star ratings). I told you them basically what was wrong and they told me what they were going to do to check it. Once they checked it, they called me back into the shop and showed me the leaking area on my radiator and said that was 90% of the problem, but also there was a head gasket leak and that was the more expensive problem. They gave me an estimate and said they could work on the price if I found a cheaper place to do it. I declined getting it fixed since my car was too old and not worth it. I did replace the radiator later in order to sell the car and Midas was right, that took care of most of the problem and made the car somewhat drivable. If I drove the car for too long, it would overheat so I also think Midas was right about some other leak which could be that head gasket one. I think this Midas did a good job without using scare-tactics and I would come back again.

Two times I had the same bitter experience. I went for oil change since this sound cheaper than any other place nearby. I was quoted for other major works with an amount abnormally much higher than any other place. When I refused to considered the job to be performed by them, they instantly reduced the priced by half. I still refused to perform. Then they also refused to perform the oil change. When I was about to leave the place without any services, they were kind (!!!) enough to offer the service to change the oil only for that day. I accepted that offer since a handful amount of time were spent with respect to both side. The most terrible thing happened after the oil changed that inspired me to write the review. I heard different sound from engine while driving car and smell of burnt oil was coming inside the car. When I came back home, I discovered that the engine cap oil was left open by the mechanic under the hood and by inspecting the oil color I doubt that they changed the oil completely. This was a sheer dishonestly if it is so.

Called for an appointment, man said the earliest they had was noon. I stated I was looking for an 11:30 time, he said to come on in then and Id be taken care of. When I got there he said itll be an hour and a half I told him I had called and reserved an appointment. Then he said itll be about a half hour. I waited an hour for them to even take my car back! Got done around 1:15. Really disappointed in the wait time. Bad customer service to tell a customer to come a half early early, just for them to wait an entire hour. Shouldve just went to Goodyear for their noon appointment opening. Never had a problem going to them. Staff unapologetic in the wait, did not keep me updated, or any information as to why I had to wait so long. Apparently appointments mean nothing to this service center.

The gasoline lines in my car were rusty and they started to leak. I showed it to the repairmen in the Midas Auto Service Experts on the Brittain Road in Akron. They told me that they could replace it for 500$. They had it ready one day later than they promised, without letting me know. The manager Daniel Stepak told me that they changed the whole lines and asked me to pay 540$. However I found that they just changed the easily accessible parts of the lines, as well rusty but less accessible parts stayed in the car. When I complained I was told that they would charge me 1500$ for replacement of the whole lines. I was surprised but it is probably just because I am the foreigner and I do not know the habits and prices of this country well. Milan Rezac

I regularly use this Midas as my go-to place for oil changes. They are always accommodating in fitting me in even with short notice. I typically shy away from chain places like this, however coming here changed my mind. They have always been honest and thorough in their inspection of my car. There is always a promotion going for a $20 oil change, which Im sure most places also have. What I didnt know is that they do price matching for tires. Thats good information to have. The manager was honest, friendly, and helpful in getting everything done I needed. Appreciate this location changing my mind that had previously already been made up due to bad experiences at Monroe, NTB, etc.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! One time they stripped the port for my oil filter and oil was leaking, they told me I would have to pay 500$ to fix THEIR mistake. Had to threaten them with legal action before they would fix it. THEN, one day later the check engine light came on! Started flashing and my engine was stuttering. This is so ridiculous! They did a check of my car the day before and everything was great they said. Dont ever come to this shop, Im never letting them touch my car again. I go to Chapel Hill Automotive down the street, Ive never had a problem with them.
