I wish I could go lower ! the ACME store in Covington KY is great ( 5 stars ) . The one in Cincinnati is a waste and so is the one rough looking male who is the only employee there too. It looks like there is a wide selection but if you plan on the one employee to find something or just getting a simple key made then forget it . I spent 20 minutes of time wasted while he was talking to friends and then he would not help me find a simple thing also there is no parking anywhere unless you park in a lot for 8 dollars , I had to park 5 blocks away ,only did it because i wanted to see an old time store . Please DONT WASTE YOUR TIME going there ! ! !

It is such a breath of fresh air to have discovered this store. The personal attention you get is so spot on, so customer service friendly....it is the EXACT opposite of the large box stores. It was also a shock that I can get EVERYTHING from this store that I could from the megastores...with 1000% more personal service. You can hop into this little gem and get a single bolt (try that at Lowes!) and be out in seconds...not 20 minutes (try to find someone at Home Depot!). The world needs more stores like this....I cant thank Acme Lock and Hardware enough!

I always come in with random requests: the owner and the staff are always helpful and willing to pick apart my request for help me find the tools I need. Most recently my wrench to unbolt a fire hydrant for pressure washing broke; they found me a giant wrench and a very strong pole for leverage--it works better than the original wrench I was using! I also had a cigarette butler with a broken key in the lock; they removed the key and made me a new one within 10 minutes. I love this store and will continue to do business as long as I work and live downtown!

As a former student at the Art Academy, Acme was always my #1 go to for various projects. Their convenient downtown location was a short walk and the people there were always super nice. I dont think I ever went there and couldnt find what I needed. They carry a little bit of everything from wood stains to drill bits and several drawers of hardware. Also, if you need a key made then this is the place to go! Plus, theyre located right next to the street car route, so you can ride there in a jif!

The lock on my 101 year old front door with beautiful old hardware was broken. Marty from Acme came to my home and quickly repaired with some new inside parts and an antique little lever that he had on hand, which matched perfectly. I definitely wanted to keep the old hardware, and I suspect that many other locksmiths would have said, tough luck, go get a new one. Marty did a great job, Im 100% happy with Acme. Will definitely call them if I need locksmith work in the future.

Acme is located just a few blocks away from the Art Academy of Cincinnati, where I go to college. Over the last 3 and a half years of being a student, I have frequently stopped by Acme (sometimes multiple times a day) for any odds and ends, hardware, and paint that I might need for a project. The staff is ALWAYS very kind and helpful when I have questions, and are able to help me find what I need. I love the convenience of the downtown location!

The technician dammaged my door while he was trying to fix my lock.I called the company several times in the past two weeks and they always ignore me and keep telling me that my door was already like that. the technician never came back to fix that and I didnt get any refund.I had to call other company to fix my door and they charged me half price! I already contact the BBB about this company Not professional and the prices are too high.

The Downtown Cincinnati location is the only store that I have visited but they are all professionals and are more than happy to assist whenever they can. We visit the store 2-3 times a week due to the work we do downtown and we refer everyone looking for odds and ends to this location. We are not only blessed to have a store such as Acme lock in downtown but we are blessed to have the great people that work inside this store as well.

Every time I go to Acme Lock and Hardware, I am always impressed with the knowledgable and warm staff. Acme Lock and Hardware is a breath of fresh air in the world of big chains where it is hard to find someone who knows what they are talking about. At Acme, I always get the help I need and find the right tool for the job. Very impressed!

The gentleman who waited on me made my day. I was having a crappie day to be honest and he was just funny and fun, it really goes to show that no matter how cranky someone might be when you come in contact with them, you can always be the one to make them smile. This is the corniest thing Ive ever written, but these guys deserve it. :)

Bad Customer Service! I called this company to ask if they can help me replace my broken lock. the guy on the phon was very rude and didnt want to help me or give me some information for their service and cost. I called AB Bonded locksmith, and they really fix the lock for me in a good price. I will NEVER call this company ever again!

Quick service; excellent price. I went to two other shops to re-key a lock. Both had to wait for tech to return and said it could be done in 24 hours if they had parts. Both quoted prices in the $50-$70 range. Acme Lock in Covington had the job done in a couple of hours and charged me a third of the prices quoted by the others.

Great service , and Tom one of their locksmith that works in the store does great work have never had to return a lock to be redone and wonderful with the customers and myself and Steve the owner is always met my needs and has gone out of his way for me & the same with the rest of his staff.

Always find exactly what I went their looking for. Tools, paint, electrical supplies and more. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Picked up a couple things yesterday. When I got my receipt, I was also given a coupon for 10% off my next purchase. Cant beat that.

This store packs a lot of hardware into a small space, from shelving to screws to pipes and cleaning supplies. Keys made too! The store is well-organised but staff is on hand to help you find what you need.
