I must say, over my lifetime since computers entered our lives (I have worked in various key positions for OEMs of computers and related hardware throughout the U.S. for over 30 years now), that I have never experienced such a class operation, with the knowledge and particularly not rushing me out the door (well I am like family now as I was there for over 5 hours) last Saturday (2/28/2015) when they close at 2:00 PM. My wife and I were visiting with our daughter who attends the University and she had been having problems with her computer locking up, etc. It is an Apple (Mac) so we first went to the Apple Store at Kenwood Mall and they (Apple) did explain to us, it was a problem with the software and they would fix it free, however our daughter would lose everything on her hard drive. They said the only way to save all would be to transfer it to another computer. We tried that night for over 2 hours, did not work. On Saturday morning I googled where I may be able to take it in and wait while we were still visiting and I found GetTeck. I liked the reviews, plus that they were members of BBB and Angies List. Now as we know with reviews, right, their friends, kids, kids friends could write a review. I called around 9:30 AM and Mike (Owner, which I did not know he was the owner on the phone) told me the store opened at 10 and to bring it in and what I described to him he was confident they could help me out. I arrived at the store around 10:15 AM and Teri was the only one there. I am right, this guy on the phone sends me to a store where this lady is only taking in computers, so I am now stuck and they got me in the door! Now I spoke to Teri (did not know her name then) on my arrival and explained and told her I had my company computer in my car if she could just transfer the files to that. Well that would not work so I went to get a coffee, walked in to see her taking the hard drive out of the Apple. My God, what was this lady thinking???? Then she explained she was going to put the hard drive in one of their computers. Hey, it worked, this lady knew what she was doing and quite well. Enough, I need to shorten this up. Mike came in so eventually I learn they are married and own GetTeck. Teri suggested I might want to get a 32 MB thumb drive as come to find out my daughter had over 10,000 pictures, lots of music and yes, files from attending college for 1 1/2 years now. End results, 5 hours later, no rush and their staying well past closing time, they had me out the door with all saved to the hard drive. They knew the importance of getting this resolved while we were visiting our daughter and wow, they are without any question in our minds HEROs to my daughter, my wife and especially me as my life became salvageable in all eyes. They could have ripped me off and I would have paid it as all would have been worth it. Instead I walked out paying less then $ 100. Unbelievable!!!! I again have never experienced something so great in the related I.T. Industry. In conversation with Mike, they would have driven to the University, met my daughter and returned the computer to her at no pick up or delivery charge. I found out they offer that same service to individuals and business throughout Cincinnati and surrounding areas, so if someone needs excellent service, not wanting to be ripped off and from a great couple, you really need to contact them. I passed along the exact info to the Specialist at Apple when I took the computer back late on Saturday and he and another employee said they will be keeping that in mind for other customers who may need service outside Apple......Teri and Mike; THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!! Hurry up and expand to Columbus, I will get you business! Always, Gary (Side Note: As to one negative comment in the reviews I saw, I was able to observe several customers visiting their shop with iPhones, computers, etc., and not one was upset nor dissatisfied and their demeanor is extreme professional in all areas)....

The Cavalry Still Rides Life is generally grand in PC Universe...until it generally isnt: and when it generally isnt, life can become exceedingly stressful exceedingly quickly. Such was the case in my formerly, blissful piece of technical real estate, on an otherwise uneventful day several weeks ago. I discovered GetTeck via Google search, and elected to contact them after preliminarily gleaning GetTecks reputation by reading the many testimonials of customer satisfaction. Also, I found the companys pick-up service to be a very attractive feature. Right away, I was pleased by Mikes personable, knowledgeable and professional communication: he listened patiently as I described the issues with my system. Nothing inspires consumer confidence toward a good product or service, like a strong, positive gut-feeling at the onset. My conversation with Mike produced this positive result. The willingness of GetTeck to stand behind their work through warranty speaks volumes. GetTeck did a resoundingly excellent job at repairing my PCs capacitors and motherboard. My system was cleaned and checked for problems. GetTecks level of quality assurance, or test and re-test repairs, ensured that my returned system works without a hitch, and far better than it ran before its issue. Even more superlatively impressive: Mike made an emergency service call to my home to repair a separate self-imposed issue that occurred when I attempted to repartition my hard drive without success. Mike spent approximately 1 1/2 hours in the late evening rescuing my system. This impromptu service call was appended to the end of an extremely long work day that involved at least one trip out of town. Yet, Mike was as personable, professional and patience as always as he worked doggedly. Yes...the cavalry still rides it seems: under the awesome business banner of GetTeck.

After I stupidly spilled coffee on my brand new laptop, I called around and GetTeck offered a firm estimate and a quick turnaround of a few business days, which was important because the laptop is what I use for classes, and I brought it in the day after calling. Unfortunately, a few business days turned into two weeks, and upon receiving my laptop again, it would not charge, wouldnt even turn on if not plugged in, the keyboard was popping out and what had been a touch screen was no longer working. I called and was told to bring it back, theyd fix it for free (which I appreciate) and that it wasnt GetTecks policy to half fix an item. Well another week or so passed, and when I finally called I was told that they still needed a day. The touch screen is fixed, but the keyboard is still popping out; the bottom row of the keyboard seems to be warped, it still wont turn on unless its plugged in, it dies immediately if its not connected to a power source and the casing seems to be bent along the bottom. Overall the best things I can say is that the employees were friendly and pricing was good, but if you actually want something fixed right try somewhere else.
